Food was great, they actually serve real chicken thighs that even have dark meat. Portion size was great which is not something that can be said for most food trucks.But.... good Christ their spicy is unbelievably hot. The guy who took my order warned me that it is made with Carolina Reaper and Ghost Pepper and me, being an idiot who generally loves spicy food, did not listen to his advice. I literally soaked a washcloth in milk and squeezed it between my butt cheeks to alleviate the burn later that night.
Ordered some sandwiches and I must say they are well done to perfection and taste great. I will warn you all though, even the lowest tier of spiciness are ferocious and not for the faint of heart.
I ordered Death Mega. The most spicy chicken, I have ever tried. Also very yummy. Challenge yourself.
Mild is the perfect balance of spicy enough that you spice lovers out there will salivate but also not too spicy that'll leave you breathing heavily trying to ease the pain. The chicken is breaded, fried, and served to perfection. No one's gonna say it, but the bun... The choice of bun compliments the chicken so well with it's ever so slightly sweet taste and fluffy texture to contrast the crisp and lightly crunchy breading to the juicy bite you'll find yourself craving for days to come.
It's definitely one of the best chicken sandwich spots in the bay area. I'd say at least as good as Chicken Bros. Both are very expensive, both are very large sandwiches. Chubbys is definitely spicier. Chicken Bros has a nice slaw on top. The fries at Chubbys are better.Batter is crispy and the chicken is not dry. Lots of flavor.You honestly can't go wrong either way. Don't hesitate, but this spot up.
The fries and slaw were good. The spice chicken was highly breaded which overpowered the chicken. . .very hot. It hits you with a punch of spicy just heat.
Probably the best chicken sandwich I've had. Service was great and parking is easy. I like that this is a food truck so it's outdoors during this time. Agree with other reviews saying spice level is no joke--even the non-spicy was a little spicy lol. Totally recommend getting the combo as the portion is huge. Will be back to try the waffle fries.
Amazing sandwiches!! I get the medium spicy sandwich combo and it has a great kick to it! The ranch is so good with the fries and the fries are also super crispy yet soft on the inside. Love that they give you the loyalty card because i do end up paying a little over $40 for two combos and a 15% tip. It’s totally worth it! The sandwiches are huge and I always have left overs. I also just noticed one time I received potato wedges instead of waffle fries, idk if the menu was changed but it’s waffle fries now and either one it’s still good with the same seasoning!
This was one Spicy Chicken Sandwich done right! I cannot turn down anything spicy and I sure met my match with the Mega Death spice level. Overall, a giant, well flavored chicken sandwich and banging waffle cut fries. I would definitely go again!
Warning, Spicy is really hot. Which is a 3/5 on the scale. I can handle my spice, but a hot chicken sando with that level of spices on it was a lot. I would knock it down a level if you can't handle it. Also fries are solid. The combo meal is a solid amount of food for something so tasty and local. Enjoy~
