I don't know what's so good about this place but my uncle likes it. To me, I think it's inconsistent with amount of food and on the photo menu. In the photo, it has an egg. Also I didn't why it was so special and good review or was it just a name of what's left. Plus the big bowl and small bowl both looks the same.
Sooooo yummy! I got the shrimp wonton egg noodle soup, combination rice noodle soup, fried flour cake, fried shrimp wontons, & vietnamese coffee! The quality of food is great and love how home-y this place/food feels!
A favorite of our family. We have their Shrimp Wonton Egg Noodle soup and Bhan Bot flour cake every time! Delicious!
I judge my food based on flavor and how much I enjoyed eating it. I don’t judge the restaurants on size, it is small if you’re looking for a five course meal or gourmet cuisine go somewhere expensive and overpriced. This place is simple it’s kept clean. It is very fairly priced. A typical mom and pop shop but the soup is so delicious and so simple I will definitely come back and try other dishes.
We came after a long hike on Sunday , we were hungry and order number 13 dry noodles with oyster sauce , it's way too salty , we can't even eat I've tried to add more vinegar to it , still salty . I told the waiter , he didn't say anything not even offered to made a new one for us or even explaining.China Chen is my most favorite noodle house for almost 30 years. But I might not come back. I am sad and disappointed.
Looking for fresh fresh Vietnamese egg noodles called Mi? This is the spot!! This was so good I can’t stop thinking about it!Got 2 bowls of mi, one with broth on the side and one with shrimp wontons, an order of shrimp wontons which were the best I’ve ever had-fried to perfection & stuffed w tons of shrimp! Also got the half fried chicken which was beyond crispy and juicy!! The flour rice pancake was delicious as well. Overall, such a great place, we will be back!
Was there for lunch today. Yellow and rice noodles were shoggy. Ordered HT Nam Vang and they made it wrong twice. I think they changed the owner and it sucks now. They gave you lots of noodles and that's it. The normal sea food noodles is gone. Same for fried rice. I have known this place for more than 20 years. Another iconic Vietnamese restaurant in San Jose is finally fading away. So sad.
Buenos Aires never fails ! The wait staff is spot on attentive and the food arrives in perfect order and timing .The trio of empanadas we had were the perfect beginning and there chimicherie , possibly miss spelled , is addictive. It was a meat lover night , mixed grill and bone in ribeye .
