It's a wonderful place for homemade sausage reminds me of my heritage and I went there when I was a little boy great stuff
The ladies working there today were very rude snd unprofessional. I felt uncomfortable being in there while they bad mouth there manager or some one. They didn’t know what I ordered, smothered it in mustard and they headed up my cold cut sandwich. They wouldn’t ring me out until they were done talking to each other and then the lady who asked if I wanted cheese on my sandwich asked the other lady if I got cheese and proceeded to insult and embarrass her coworker. At this point I considered saying i needed to go or leaving but I’m really hungry and still am. I’m not sure who hired these people. Times are tough but they need some help or supervision.
Been around the south bay area for decades and heard about this place several times including from local Italian relatives. From the east coast and love good Italian sausage so finally went today for lunch....I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately, it's really nothing to write home about. They were out of hot sausage so went with the garlic sausage sandwich on sourdough. Comes with a some marinara and a little bit of peppers & onions. The size of the roll drowned out the fillings, maybe if I went with the double (two sliced sausages) it would have been fuller. The sausage was garlicky but otherwise wasn't very flavorful and pasta salad was ok but was overall disappointed. Also, was going to eat outside but a crazy, yelling homeless dude was seated there so stayed in...From the pictures around the deli, it looks like this place is a shadow of its former self that once was a full butcher shop and shelves to the ceiling with Italian goods. Oh well, maybe I'll come back sometime and try the Italian cold cut sandwich if I'm over this way again but certainly won't go out of my way to come down here.
Amazing! Got sausages to take home, a meatball sandwich, and a tritip sandwich. May I suggest adding cheese!
Classic Italian deli look and feel with the sandwiches to prove it! We ordered the mortadella and hot Italian sausage and they did not disappoint! Highly recommend
A great experience. It's hard to decide. There known for there sausage sandwiches. They make it from scratch. Also there meat balls sandwiches. Or ravioli they get there Raviois. They get them from homemade raviois in San Mateo.
Old school. The hot sausage is wonderfully HAWT.
We buy Italian sausage from here, take it home and cook it with spaghetti. Such great flavor and texture. We love this place!
