We just arrived at 5pm for dinner and already the tables were packed. So we sat in front of the chefs at the counter. We ordered special rolls: Hot Like Fire and Ichiban. Both were quite good and fresh. You can order transitional sushi a la carte and also sushi and sashimi platters if you like old school sushi. It looks like most folks order the creative special rolls over the other items. Chefs at the counters are very fast and friendly guys. I would come early as they will be wait if you come at peak times.

Update since we have visited this sushi resto a few times and it never disappoints. Expect to possibly wait since they have limited space available, but the food is wrorth the wait. This is a popular, small sushi place. It has been around and still gets plenty of patrons coming back over and over. We came in the middle of the afternoon which in most restaurants would be dead business or clised for a few hours. With this place, we still had to wait in line. Not a bad line, but the wait is worth it, hence the busy wait times here. They have a good selection of different regular specialty sushi. We usually try something classic and something different everytime we come here. Plus, they have kid's menu, in case you are toting the little ones. Giancarlo loves their teriyaki plates and gyoza..

My boyfriend and I have been here twice. All the rolls we’ve had are so DELICIOUS and the portions are great!!Our favorites are Jordan and Little Jenny. We’ve had Highway 87, Chacha and Lion king.

Wow massive sushi rolls and delicious, I thought everything was bigger in Texas!!

Hands down, the best sushi in San Jose. And, the fastest service to boot. There’s a small dining room, but don’t be fooled! They’re cranking those rolls out FAST! I’ve been in and out in 25 min for dine-in service! For that reason, not great for date night -unless you both happen to be sushi lovers.

Price is commensurate with the portion size (expensive but XL rolls). If you're into that style of sushi, you'll probably be satisfied. If your preference is authentic, simple rolls made with high quality fish, look elsewhere. I'm taking off a ton of stars for the service, however. They told us the wait would be 45 minutes and then had us wait for over 80 minutes because a table was taking their time and they didn't want to pressure them or find another option for us. Because we then started late, they started closing up and cleaning as we were still eating, and then they must have burned something made of plastic and set off an alarm, all while we were still finishing up. All around just very unprofessional and there are better options for both quality and service in the area.

Great service and absolutely delicious food. From seating to paying the bill, this place exceeded expectations as we were passing through looking for a sushi spot. Our waiter Bryan was amazing. Plus we got unexpected free dessert. 100% recommend if you're in the area. Arrived hungry, leaving happy.

The BEST little restaurant that the food is excellent. Portions are big and the price is a little high, but well worth it.Other Japanese restaurants in this area have cut down on their portions of rice (1/4 cup) you need rice to complete your meal.Never disappointed. Keep up with the beautiful presentation and great taste of each item. It's gotten to be a everyday luncheon or dinner for us.Best of luck for the new year.

This place is so unbelievably popular and busy! There's always a line or a crowd of people outside. It's so easy to place your order online and walk in to pick up. They are requiring a photo ID to match the CC you paid with so be prepared and have it on you. The restaurant is very small so I highly recommend ordering takeout. The food is always good and fresh.

I can tell you about the great sushi but for me the most important thing is if my kids will like the food. My kids both under four absolutely loved the thick udon noodles but won't touch the protein options.
