A staple spot for con-goers since it's walkable from the SJ McEnery con center. A lot of great food and drink options, I loved the popcorn chicken!
The interior is small an intimate, but the food is really good and served quickly. The SOYUM chicken wings are one I f the best items on the menu and my absolute favorite dish served here
We JUST discovered this place a couple of weeks ago and absolutely fell in LOVE! Absolutely *delicious* boba. Bonus points, they're LGBTQ+ friendly ?️?❤️
The place is a cozy building. Clean. Staff friendly. Good verity of options. Some small finger food options. The mango Mojito boba? was good, but not extraordinary. The jelly was so so. Not enough mint or the mango syrup was dominant. The puffy chicken was tasteless and too dry. Not sure if it should stay on the menue.
Friendly request to extend your doordash boundaries to where they were previously. Your food and tea are great, and I have ordered weekly for the last several years. A few weeks ago the app says that I am outside your delivery area (I am 11 miles away). I contacted door dash and they said that you need to reach out to doorDash support to request this update.
I've been here twice with some friends. I definitely recommend getting the garlic fries. Most cafes and restaurants that serve garlic fries don't do garlic fries right, but the Boba Bar garlic fries doesn't just put garlic on top of regular fries, no the Boba Bar's garlic fries is bursting with delicious garlicky goodness. You will have garlic breath after eating them, so maybe not a good idea to eat them on a first date. The popcorn chicken is nothing extraordinary, it's like any other popcorn chicken, but the sauce. I believe it is called "dynamite sauce". It pairs beautifully with the popcorn chicken and garlic fries. The sauce combined with the garlic fries is an explosion of flavor. I thought their taro milk tea was just standard, nothing amazing. It was just a pleasant taro milk tea. I also tried the honeydew green tea lemonade with lychee jelly. I think it is a nice drink, but it's a tad too sweet. My friend ordered the lychee green tea lemonade with rainbow jelly and they also agreed that their drink tastes great, but the sweetness is a little too much. Fruit tea shouldn't be too sweet, or else it just tastes like juice. I thought their garlic noodles lacked flavor and were overpriced. If the meat wasn't an add-on and came with the noodles, maybe the noodles wouldn't be so bland? This isn't related to the quality of food and drink that the Boba Bar provides, however, I think the music is too loud because it is hard to hear what the cashier is saying that's really one thing I don't like about the Boba Bar. Overall, the Boba Bar is a nice place to go to with some friends.
Awesome Boba. Popcorn chicken is my go to favorite with dynamite sauce. Closes at 10pm so no live saver after a hard drinking session. Can't have everything
Really good Taro Milk Tea with Honey boba. The consistency is really good and the boba is not too sweet and too chewy.
The service was good but the boba drink wasn’t the best. The peach milk tea that I got tasted like a scent of a soap. It’s also weird that you have to pay to put boba in the drink when it’s called the boba bar.
They have plant-based milk alternatives available for all their milk tea boba! I got strawberry milk tea boba, but it was more tangy and tart than I expected. Drinks range from $5-6 dollars, not including boba toppings, which cost extra.
