This use to be my favorite breakfast spot but not so much anymore. They purchased smaller plate which equals smaller portions and higher prices but quality of service has decreased the most! She never returned to check on us so when I complained about my potatoes not being as I requested she got upset with me! My waitress rolled her eyes, slammed he note pad and pen on my table then picks up our plates. I know my waitress is not the cook so I was never directing anything towards her but then she yelled at me as I was walking out of the restaurant with my 75 year old father “I hope your day gets better “ it was embarrassing!! Rant over
Not super busy on Sunday morning, ableTo get seated without waiting. Service is great and friendly, they attend frequently for refilling coffee
The service is good, the place is nice but the food is horrible. They served my home potatoes all burned and they are way to expensive for the quality and quantity they served.
Breakfast was delicious and ample. You could easy share a dish if you aren't that hungry. French toast was crunch on the outside and soft on the inside, lots of flavor. Hashbrowns were good and bacon cooked perfect. My friend had the house potatos, they were more like country potatoes. Service was excellent and outside seating was NO WAIT.
All time favorite. This family owned breakfast Lunch spot is our go to every other weekend or so. The owners are super friendly and you can tell they care about their customers. BIG portions and the best fresh orange juice you can imagine.
We were craving for some fine and delicious American breakfast and google suggests this place to us. We came with full expectations and excitement but only to find disappointment. The order took 30+ mins to came and we had to check with the stuff 2 times to finally fill our hungry stomach. The food had better be great to balance our long waiting but it fails. The Benedict classic was too small… only two eggs and some potatoes, no bread no fruits and no bacon…. And the chocolate French toast was burnt in the bottom. Also they used some raisin bread which had an unpleasant flavor. Plus I barely taste anything like chocolate in the chocolate dressing. We had a great time at many other highly related places for American breakfast but not this one.Maybe we did not order the all-star dishes.
This was our first time at Bill of Fare and we had a lovely breakfast. My fiance got the Gyro Benedict which had generous portions of gyro meat on it. I had the Swedish pancakes with lingonberry filling and strawberries in top and coffees all around. We were getting ready to leave for the morning when the owner George stopped by our table to make sure everything was okay with our service. He told us about the Greek yogurt that was his Grandfather's recipe straight from the island of Crete. George asked us if we had ever tried it before and we hadn't so he made us a sampler of the yogurt to try, pictured. It was by far the best Greek yogurt I have tried anywhere and it also had fresh honey and fruit on it as well and it was super yummy. You can pick these yogurts up to go as well and I purchased one that day to take home with me. I would highly recommend Bill of Fare, excellent food, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, servers that are very attentive and great management. I will definitely be back. ?
staff is very friendly, warm and inviting. food is fresh , hot, and correct to order.
I feel like the food actually got quite a bit better once they got their new location. It was just ok before but now I find the quality has improved. Good enough place for me to go a little out of the way. Prices are a bit much for breakfast but which place in San Jose isn't?
The building is pretty nice, the food in our last visit is like 7 of 10, but the service from the old Asian Lady (Jasmin) is pretty bad. She has bad mood, rude when we asked for something extra condiments, and then she ignore us when we finish our order. At the end when we asked for the bill she arrived to the table with a bill, then few minutes later she comeback with a new bill increased by almost $30.00 because she charged an extra service. When we stop to the register I asked for clarification about the “extra service”, then another server said she charged tip for it. We are four people, usually the tip is automatically charge after 6. We refused to pay that specifically because the rude lady. Our objection is because of the bad service experience.
