Service was 5 stars. I got the brisket sandwich which tasted a day old, reheated and about 50% of the meat was fat. A bit too much for me with brisket. Brought the stars down. The fries were good though.
The food was pretty good and fresh, we had the Brisket, potato salad and Mac n cheese. It was a little pricey but still worth it if you're craving BBQ. The only thing we were missing I'd say would be like some type of bread.
I used to come here all the time with my mom as a youngster I loved it so much but now it’s different the food is still good well, not as good as it used to taste before but still good. To be honest the thing I notice the most in the VERY small portion sizes, it doesn’t match up with the prices at all it’s ridiculous ! They gave us our food last time and it felt like we were eating from the kids menu but paying more than I’ve ever paid there which doesn’t make sense to me. It makes me sad because I’d love to come by more often like I used to but it’s just too pricey for what you get.
This review is based on one experience and one meal, so take it as you will. First off, the manager and staff were so nice I felt like I was back home in the south. Secondly, the brisket sandwich was great. The lean brisket was nice and tender. The buns could be a little more toasted for a good element of crunch, but they were still tasty. The original sauce was alright. I’ve had better, but not in california. The classic jalapeño sauce was so good I bought a bottle (which they keep out and handy for purchase). I got the cornbread. Not bad. I also got onion rings, and some of them were a little under fried however they were still very tasty. They have a great batter. Overall it was a pleasant experience as a solo diner and a delicious meal.Great place to eat solo or with your family. Decent options for draft beers. Do yourself a favor and get the jalapeño sauce.
Went here for dinner today. The bbq was excellent. The place was clean lots of seating, the service was great. Alex, the manager, seems to go the extra mile to make sure everyone was happy. He made our visit there extrabgood.
beans no flavor..ribs are tasteless...will never come here again..just got from texas this is nothing at all like texas..just wasted my money
The BBQ here is amazing and the service is some of the best. They have a great menu selection and the prices are super reasonable too.
The best barbecue I ever had ..the cornbread muffins Cole slaw the sauce...everything..love it.
Staff was very friendly and patient. Hadn't been there in years. Was pleasantly surprised. Will definitely be back
Absolutely delicious no doubt, although the portions seemed very small for the price. 18 dollars for two small pieces of brisket and fries. The fork in the picture is for you to get an idea of the portions. I would love to go back but not for those prices.
