I had not been to Applebee’s in a long time. This visit felt like the restaurant’s quality has declined a bit from a few years back.The waitress was pleasant but medium in helpfulness.I ordered Applebee's prime rib sandwich that comes with a dipping sauce that is French onion soup without cheese and a large quantity of ordinary fries. The quality of the beef was reasonably good, but a few, small parts of it were hardened for reasons that I cannot explain.Ambience and staff are so-so, that is, nothing special. They play some rock music that I did not enjoy; but at least the volume was not too high.Applebee’s is conveniently located on Saratoga Road at I-280 and there is plenty of free street-level parking at the restaurant.
Redemption!! We had a terrible experience at Applebee's many years ago so I wasn't expecting much returning. Much to my surprise EVERY ASPECT of last night's dinner was beyond my expectations. Everything was super fresh, great drinks, pleasant and energetic staff, even the fries were good, and the salt and pepper fresh grinders at every table is a nice touch to bring my experience over the top. Left a great tip for our server. You did it Applebee's, you did it. We'll be back for sure.
Had a great time here with friends. We enjoyed each other's company I couldn't comment on the food, lol. But I'm sure they were not bad or we would have talked about it then and there. :)The staff was great though and they didn't mind us staying until closing.
Not a good experience tonight. We called ahead to see what time the kitchen was closing and were told that 10:45 was last call. We got there around 9:30 to find the doors locked and us being shooed off by the front-of-house. We got ahold of them and they explained they were busy, which is understandable, but we had our time wasted by driving 20 minutes to get there. Because of this waste of time, several of our other options were now closed or closing. So, no dinner out tonight at all. A little better communication between management and staff would have saved a lot of people's time. We were not the only customers to be turned away, so I'm sure there are quite a few people bummed out about losing their time and canceling their dinner plans.
Food was as good or better than any of the other Applebee’s I’d previously visited. Service was ok, but I would have been happier with less of a duration of time between server visits. Overall good dining experience.
Alan served us and he was attentive and pleasant to us and the other patrons. I will return to this Applebee's just because of how well he tended to the customers. We dined in and had 1 take-out meal.
When we arrived we stood in the lobby for more than 5 minutes without a single acknowledgement from staff. Once we were seated we ordered an appetizer which was about half the size of the picture with more plate showing than food. The quality of the food was good and our server was good. I was surprised this was not my normal experience with Applebees
The food is good...but the employees need to be trained on how to clean tables and chairs. You just don't slop the same rag around without spraying anything, and wiping...for who knows how long that rag has been changed...i bring my own wipes and clean my tableand menues...with this covid and everything we need to be a little more cautious...they also need to keep an eye on when customers walk in...when my husband and I walked in there was 2 employees chit chatting and laughing while we were standing and waiting for someone to come and attend to us...this happened the previous time we came...
I called in an order to go Yvette the asstant manager was the rudest person to be taking orders. She had an attitude from the gate hung up on my husband the first time. I strongly suggested Yvette not take any phone orders again. She should not even be in Management. I will call Corporate as well. She does not deserve a 1 start. She's a 0. GO COTTLE ??
Customer service was above and beyond amazing. From the minute we walked in the door to the minute we leave. Food was perfect, my family and I will be back most definitely. Thank you to my waiter and bus boys and servers that helped make our meal so great. Awesome Customer service is truly hard to find these days it really is and we enjoyed our dinner. Even my grand kids enjoyed and ate all thier food.
