Very tender steak and very delicious onion rings with dip WOW!!! I got sausage sand and stk, mush, onion, and bell pep sand aka the works with no cheese.
Used to love this place but when you are making some 1 sandwich ? in this day and age. You might want to wear a ?, the employee making my sandwich sneezed multiple times. Away from my sandwich but we all know how far a sneeze can go! That's all I am going to say.
This place was highly recommended and it lived up to it. I ordered a cheesesteak, onion rings and a fountain drink. It only took about 8 minutes to get my order. Fountain drinks are self serve with the good crushed ice. The bread was incredibly soft which made eating this a pleasure. It got it with all the toppings. Onion rings were crispy and after being dipped in the ranch were an explosion of flavor in my mouth. They started catering again, so I’m looking to order for a big group soon. Plenty of parking. Time to be acknowledged was immediate. Return value is very high. Quality of food is 5 star. Value was good. Portion sizes are large.
The beef sandwich is what I would expect back east. People can make liking or disliking these type of sandwiches their primary personality trait, if that is you do everyone a favor and move back east, otherwise this shop is worth checking out. I find it best to go with someone, or a group and share. The sandwiches and sides are on the large size.
I have been going to the Amato's on Saratoga Ave for a very long time and have always enjoyed the sandwich (any kind I ordered). This location was a bit off. I mean everything is the same but it didn't feel right. The sandwich was served in a plastic container. It felt a tad smaller and less full. Probably just my perception. I also felt that there were less onions and more cheese than what I am used to.Like I said, it is probably just my imagination. I will continue to visit Amato's on Saratoga.
Very good food. Well priced. Good service. And always has a good movie or show on their tv. While you wait or if you’re dining in.
This was just not good. I had to add provolone cheese and it still sucked. I hate that in the metro magazine they claim to be the best cheese steak shop. I had high hopes for a new favorite spot, real bummer
Had someone a few months back and it was awesome! Just picked up a number 10 today and it was just as good as the first time. Thanks for staying consistently delicious folks. I along with family and friends will definitely be back soon.
The cheese steaks were ok, but way overpriced. And, the staff are rude. We walked in about 15 minutes before closing and they seemed mad that we were there and rushed us out. Not impressed.
Modest, strip-mall cheesesteak joint with great sandwiches and decent prices. We had "The Works" cheesesteaks & a cheesesteak hoagie.Pros:* Sandwiches are huge. Had to save half of the 7-inch "shorty" for later.* Hoagie roll is pillowy, slightly chewy, perfect.* Great integration of ingredients. Cheese is nice and melty, almost a sauce.* Lots of condiment packets available for folks who want to dress up their sandwich.* Fast friendly service.* Easy parking.Cons:* None.
