A great mom and pop poke shop! You'll get high quality made poke. A great spoke to get buttered mochi and even have musubi if you're craving one or three.Fresh as can be and I love it. ?
Eating in a place is an experience. It not just about the food. This place is not a 4.8 place. The food is good. They have variety maybe more proteins than more poke bars. But they don’t have as many sides than other places. The service is not good. The girls in the place are not amicable even if you tell them that you are new to the place. The poke is good. But there are better places in San Jose area. Garlic chicken was ok. It’s expensive for what you get.
Awesome poke bowls. I got the spicy shoyu ahi with Namasu and ocean salad.
This is the place to go for legit Hawaii poké. I got fresh Hawaiian ahi and sesame tako , with sides of lomi salmon and cucumber namasu. Delicious!Just like the kind they have on the big island! All that is missing is the smell of the ocean and sand in your slippers. It’s marinated poké, not like the cheap places that pour the sauce on after you order.Highly recommended. Aloha and mahalo.
Had an order of the two scoop of protein and two scoops of sides. And lAlso ordered some Spam Musubi. The poke I had tasted fresh. I ordered half greens with half rice, topped with spicy scallop, spicy ahi, crab and seaweed salad. Everything was very filing. One extra star to the beautiful and kind person who took our order! She was very nice and sweet!
Food is good but services isn't great. They don't have restroom and places to seat. They also don't fill in water bottles just sell plastic single use bottles. Plastic kills fish & our planet.
First time trying poke. The food is amazing. I am a new poke fan. Thanks
Aloha bowl was Ono with garlic chicken, namasu, pickled onion.....killahz!
By far the best poke choice in San Jose! Fish so fresh it melts in your mouth. So many choices of flavors. And Mac salad is top notch. Gotta order early if you want to grab the spam masubi before it runs out!
We drive all the way from San Francisco (we do other things while down here) to get poke. Why would we do this when there are any number of poke places along the way? Because being a family from HI and myself having been there as family and eating at many poke places, we have our standards for poke. Standards which Aloha Fresh meets. No mainland fusion poke bowls with beans, carrots, corn, or other floatsam. Sure we opted for seaweed salad, lomi salmon, and crab salad but those can be added at many authentic poke places even in HI. Sometimes just rice with Furikake and poke constitutes a proper poke bowl. The main thing here though is fresh, buttery, smooth, and rich fresh ahi flown in from HI. Not frozen or Yellowfin from elsewhere. Frozen has it's place when you maybe want more for the same money or even saving some money, nothing wrong with that at all, but if you want the fresh stuff we come here. No disappointments.
