Favorite South Indian place in San Jose. Ordered Ghee Roast Dosa, Tomato-Onion Uttapam and Gobi Machurian. Gobi Machurian could have been better.
Tasty south Indian food with a broad range of options. We had the special thali which comes with 16side items, rice, 1 chapati and papad, Combo 2 which comes with idli vada and pongal and Combo 3 which comes with Idli vada and dosa. Both combos come with a side of coconut and tomato chutney and sambar. In the Thaali all items were good but the veg pulav seemed old.
Good ambiance. Have come here twice and noticed the sambar wasn’t up to the mark as the first time when we visited. Seems their taste is not consistent. Sambar was very sour and the idlis were cold. We usually order sambar idli, medu vada and dosa here. Filter coffee is good. They have ample seating space.
I came here on a Saturday morning for brunch before the opening time. People were waiting outside to get in around 11:20 am. The service was fast and it was extremely easy to order and pay from their app. I tried the ghee podi dosa, idli and filter coffee. Everything was delicious.
*Food was yum.*Wait time was about 30-40 mins, however we went for lunch during the peak hrs on weekend, so that was expected.*Ordering is hassle free . Just scan and order. *Although the wait time to get table was high, the food was delivered to table pretty fast, which was good.
Excellent food and taste. Had to wait for 30 minutes to get a table as it was a weekend. Worth the wait time as thali and dosa tasted exactly how we ate in Indian restaurant. Would highly recommend this place for authentic vegetarian food.
