Good food, try the soups and the meat plates. Not your typical Korean barbecue place. This is a chain Korean restaurant and has wonderful flavors. The food is already made and served on a metal-wood skillet.Write your name down on paper if there is a wait. It's located in the corner next to 168 market.
Their signature dishes are the galbi jjim with cheese and the other dishes in that section of the menu.Their other standard soup dishes are solid as well. This location didn't have Korean speaking staff so you have to make do with English and numbers but it worked.Large but busy parking lot.
This place has been one of my comfort zone to eat no matter how the weather is.I have been coming here since they opened back few years ago,and I can't believe this is my first time writing the review. We came here on Thursday night, and surprisingly, they were so busy and they stopped taking yelp wait list, not sure if it's permanent or temporary because of holidays weekend.I always order the same thing which are Galbi Jim (mild or soy) and 1 Sul Lun Tang soup.Their banchans are fresh af! My favorites are their chives and kimchis.I'm not a big fan of spicy food, but for this place, I'd be willing to hold it and drink a lot of water to enjoy them lol. They are always busy, but every table is equipped with a bell to call your server, so you'll get help pretty fast.I always bring Togo leftover and their sauce is so good that you could add more stuff into it to make it last. This is located in the same plaza where 168 is.
Had dinner here on Christmas and could not have chosen a more celebratory meal than Galbi Jjim, braised short ribs and oxtail, covered in cheese and melted/charred with a blowtorch. Any other day of the year this would be too much lol. Great time, delicious food. They even overlooked the corkage fee.
Galbi tang (beef short rib soup) seemed most popular and it was clear when I ordered it. The soup was very rich in beef flavor and there were no shortcuts taken on the beef. There was a lot of beef rib slices in the soup and two ribs for that added taste. Served with some kimchi sides (complimentary) and a bowl of rice. Clear glass noodles were also at the bottom of the soup. The chives kimchi on the side was also a very good dish. One serving may feel enough to share for two people. If your group is ordering separately, you can't go wrong with your own bowl of soup. If you are doing family style and sharing, plenty of tables nearby were ordering their larger beef platters (comes with a nice little fire show as it's presented to you). They have branches too but this place is good because there is plenty of free parking. So if you're considering the location in Koreatown, consider this place just outside of LA.
My two favorite dishes are Galbi Jim and Galbi Tang! The Galbi Jim has option for torched cheese on top, and you definitely need more than 2 people for a medium size. All of their soup are so good, and everything with beef only.
The galbi jim was excellent, the soup was kinda bland.
Long Hour , great food .
Got there famous #25 with cheese melted tableside with blow torch. Amazing great tasting food. Love the soup and the mountain pile of meat. Brought my family and friends here in the space of a week.
Amazing banchan and galbijjim. Entire meal was delicious. Come hungry
