Very authentic Shanghainese style pork liver and braised eels. The chef and servers are from Shanghai as you can hear them speaking Shanghainese.
It's under new ownership so everything still a little out of order. The AC was down in the morning when it opens but took over 3 hours getting it back to work. We're sweating during our lunch but the delicious dim sum has made us forgiving the unease. Good customer service and food prices were reasonable for a plush restaurant.
The food was good but the service was not. The staff were not friendly. They didn't even have glasses for drinks. We were given plastic cups for both water and champagne. When we asked for champagne glasses, they said they didn't have any glasses for wine or champagne. Very reluctantly, they brought us some water glasses for the champagne.
I’m surprised how good the dim sum is here. For a ShangHai style restaurant, the dim sum is very authentic and unique. Lastly, the price is arguably the best you can pay for dim sum.
Nice atmosphere with friendly staffsPrices were reasonable but small portionBlack pepper beef was awesome its must try item
From the midwest so take this with a grain of salt but this is the best dim sum I have ever had. Would definitely recommend. There are no carts and you use a dry erase marker to place your orders on a plastic menu. Each dish was delicious and you could taste the amount of effort and care put into each food. Everything was very fresh and perfectly seasoned. Portions were good and there was a variety of foods you can try. Only downsides were that there was a wait for food and a table since they were so busy (don't go on a weekend if you can), and that there were people smoking outside so it didn't smell pleasant. Will be returning next time I'm in town.
It's arguably in the top-3 best Dim Sum restaurants in California. It's a la carte (no rolling carts auctioning food here), and the menu has shrank considerably post pandemic. But the place is worth trying for all of you dim sum enthusiasts out there. Their Shanghainese and Cantonese seafood dinner menu is equally impressive. Highly recommend!
The lobster noddle was the best!
Great Shanghainese food! Have been to a couple of Shanghainese restaurants in the bay, but the taste here is really delicious.
One of my preferred spots to grab some food. excellent location, always clean, and great service. Very good job!
