Everything we have ever tried here is simply delicious. My personal favorite is a pork chop plate with white rice, shrimp paste, and an egg 'patty' (I forgot the name). I also enjoy their soursop smoothie. My husband loves the durian one but yeah... that's not for everyone.
Some of the best, authentic Vietnamese food I've had in LA. All the things they should do well are done perfectly.Imperial rolls are large, served with ample herbs for your lettuce wrap.Shaking beef (Bo luc lac) is impeccable, perfectly cooked and tender, served with red rice, salad, and broth, quite a deal and filling if that is all you get.Bo kho FLAVOURFUL! Nothing else needs to be said.If you're in the area, go!
Egg rolls are so delicious, and HUGE. Expertly fried crispy thin skin with tons of mouthwatering filling. Pho is quite good as well — one of the few we’ve had where the soup is flavorful without being too salty (we almost never finish pho soups in general but had no trouble here). Gotta find time to squeeze in another visit before we leave town!
It remains one of my faves. Solid quality and quantity.
Food was pretty good. The rolls, both spring and imperial, are larger than what you normally see. We ordered the fried tofu because the picture on the menu looked so good, but boy was it different in reality. I won’t order that again. My wife ordered the pho and she said it needed more salt, and she doesn’t like very salty things.Besides all that it’s a solid place and there’s plenty of parking in the back.
Food was authentic and yummy. Bun Rieu was so good. I will return to try their other dishes. Too bad they don't serve Banh Xeo. Heheh great service. They kept store open later then usual bc of us. Thank you for that!!
The pork feet in the Bun Bo Hue is smelly.
Food was okay. Service was okay. Nothing special. We got there an hour before along with another couple and they just kept staring at us the whole time waiting for us to leave. Needless to say, we rushed our meal and left. No wonder people kept coming in but for takeout. Their customer service skills aren’t there. There’s better places, trust!
I honestly don't know how this place has such good reviews. I ordered the rice noodles with shredded pork, egg rolls, coconut milk, and shrimp paste. It was literally bland noodles with coconut milk out of the can, herbs, egg rolls, tiny pork strips that looked like fake meat, and some soggy shrimp cakes. The egg rolls were good, but everything else was extremely bland, if not gross. For approximately $14 dollars, it wasn't worth it all all. My dad had some pho and said it was decent, but my meal was disappointing at best.
We read that this place had amazing egg rolls, and that was true! We love everything we ate here. The service was good, place was clean, and the food was amazing. We will definitely remember this place next time we are around here.
