Two of us split a half chicken. The rice is flavorful, the chicken is good, and that green sauce (ginger, scallion) is amazing. Getting a 2nd portion of the green sauce cost 25 cents extra, which surprised us, but it's so good that of course it's worth it.They also served a complimentary soup, I think lotus and mushroom, that I'm told is a typical Cantonese style.
Whenever i visited San Gabriel, this is my togo place.Especially the Man Chan chicken rice, though price got a bit expensive. The quality have certainly went down. I ordered 2 boxes of chicken rice, both of them have no meat..... It is all bone. And super oily....I am so disappointed, I probably will not come here anymore.
Ordered lunch to go on a Monday. Food overall were unimpressive although good portion. The eggplant was a bit undercooked, filet mignon a little tough, wonton soup rather bland, leaving the fried rice to be favored. The only thing memorial was actually the coconut cake, which is gelatinous sweet inside the coconut.
Hainan chicken tastes good but the rice could be less salty.

I love it I love it. Taste like home cooking. And the proprietor is so kind
The eel rice for $15 is only one piece of eel, all rice, and it’s very unpalatable
