Authentic Hong Kong food - the wontons are good, nice thin outside and plump meat inside. Duck was different from what I've had in the past. I sensed a slight citrus note. It was good.
A decent Hong Kong style cafe. Food is served fast and full of flavor. Milk tea in a lot of SGV cafes is meh, but this place does it very well, with free refills.Really good spot to grab breakfast: the porridge (congee) is exceptional.
Great homestyle Cantonese cuisine in a small family restaurant setting. Parking available around the perimeter of the building. They close around 8:30 pm.Be sure to order the bbq pork and roast duck plate, as the meat is tender and moist without being too fatty. Soup noodle stock has notes of seafood flavor, so be aware if you have shellfish allergies. Chow fun has the taste of hot oil that tells you it's been cooked in a perfectly heated wok! Green beans are stir fried with peppers, garlic and ginger and remain crunchy yet tender. Fish is delightfully tender yet firm.A little off the beaten path but we'll worth a visit!
Food is super authentic! The noodle was not soggy at all. Service was pretty good too. They gave us free oranges after the meal. Will definitely come back!
I had their milk tea and roasted duck there before and they were good. This time I ordered their wonton noodles and pineapple bun with butter, they tasted alright but the small portion didn't match up with the prices.:(
This is actually my 2nd times there. 1st times few years ago before covid and there always a line and foods is okay. 2nd times, my friend wanted to go there and order bbq pork fried rice for her daughter.Parking a lot limited of parking. I parked on the street right front the restaurantI picked few dishes but either sold out, doesn't have, need to order in advance or already booked (roasted duck)Wonton noodle shrimps - flavor is very light and wontons is okay. Its good for the young kidsString beans - some is uncooked and still have string on both side when i tried to bite itBeef chow fun - I couldn't taste high flame and many string of noodles is still white. Flavor is light and very light beef
Amazing food and clean environment.
It was our first time there. We were going to try the duck. The duck was ok. However, the fish and also the stir fry vegetable dish were delicious. We consumed it picnic style in nearby Smith’s park.Ho Kee Coffee is easily one of the better Chinese restaurants we have been to lately. Customers come from all walks of life. We saw a Porsche SUV and Lexus SUV parked outside. This restaurant has plenty of free parking. The restaurant is across the public library of the City of San Gabriel.Covid19 Measures are in place.Indoor dining is allowed as of November 2021. The store front features some nice wooden benchesWe also went for beverages. The milk tea and a dessert fungi beverage been very flavorful. However, it was a little bit to shock sugar in it for my taste. That’s just me so.
Always hard to find great wontonmein outside of Hong Kong, but this place is pretty darn good for California and has great BBQ duck and pork as well! The chow mein and mabo tofu were also well above average and fell within classic HK quality standards. Every bite made my family happy.
Smaller location but best roast duck. Delicious Hong Kong wonton noodle soup too. Quite a few options for drinks and food. I come here sometimes when eating alone or with a friend. Parking is tight and it’s constantly full. So, I go to the Arcadia one more unless I want just roast duck. I come here.
