This is a fantastic BBQ spot located inside the Blossom Market Hall. I got the 3 Meat Plate $26.00 with Sliced Brisket, Half Chicken and Pork Belly Burnt Ends and it was all delicious as were the sides of Potato Salad and Mac & Cheese. They are only open for a few hours each day so I'd suggest you arrive as early as possible to get your desired selections. My server Julieta was super polite and there's ample free street parking nearby.
I found burnts ends! These aren't quite the KC burnt ends I'm used to but they're tasty nonetheless. If you like juicy, melt in your mouth meat, get the brisket burnt ends. You won't be disappointed. Get there early because it takes hours to make this yummy goodness so when they run out, you'll have to come back the next day. Now, I just need to figure out how to get them to be open for dinner too.
As always, the meats are cooked perfectly. The hidden gem on the menu are the collard greens. I would go just to get them.
First off, I did not have high expectations for great BBQ with no smoker on site. With that said, if a business is going to price its food comparable to other well established BBQ places in LA area, then it better deliver. By my very generous 2-star rating, this place did not. I got the two meat plate with sliced brisket and burnt ends.First, both meats were dry. And that was with the sauce. The brisket might have begun cooking on a smoker, but it looked and tasted like it spent a considerable amount of time in an oven. This looked and had the texture of a London Broil cut. Even the burnt ends were dry, with the exception of one piece. Burnt ends should be ‘morsels from heaven’ with the trifecta of rub spices, rendered down fat, and smoke coming together in a mouth watering celebration of all things good about the cow. Again, another disappointment.Second, both side dishes were tasty, which bumped the rating to 2 stars. When the side dishes are better than the meats, that’s a problem.I root for small businesses and want this place to succeed. But if they are going to price themselves with legit BBQ, then prepare for serious expectations. I hope they up their game when it comes to selecting and smoking brisket. The San Gabriel Valley needs good BBQ.
I was the last customer of the day at 2:30pm, right before they sold out and closed for the day. So make sure you arrive early because there is no number to call them directly to check.Anyways, this place hit the spot. The pork and brisket burnt ends were tender and although it's covered in bbq sauce, it's not overwhelming to the point where you can't taste the meat. The Mac and cheese was bomb and the slaw was okay (nothing beats kfc Cole slaw).I wanted to try the pulled pork, but like I said, I was the last customer and they had already sold out for the day. So until next time...
Really good barbecue place in the new blossom Hall area got the two meat plate with both pork and beef burnt ends and they were both really good and the sauce was great. Favorite sides were definitely the mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes and bacon was not bad as well.Really appreciate it. The great service. The staff here were always answering people's questions about the different meats and dishes even though there was a long line. Will definitely be back again
I love BBQ. The brisket was tasty and I liked the tangy sauce on the pork belly. I especially liked the chicken which I thought was moist and had good flavor. The miso collard greens were a nice twist.
My go to for bbq now. They haven’t been open too long, but their quality of meat is the best in the area. Their meat is soft and you can tell how much time was spent on slow cooking.
Awesome food and great customer service. A great value in the San Gabriel Valley area.
Amazing BBQ, the Brisket burnt ends were my favorite, the kids enjoyed it too!
