First the staff were great. Very pleasant and kind and helpful and had a great attitude all around! Second, the food and drinks..... oh man. So good. You wouldn't think corn and strawberry go together but the corn strawberry milk drink was my favorite. We also got the summer blossom and watermelon oat drink. All phenomenal. Then we got mapo tots, chicken nuggets, and the pork rice. It was all so so good and fresh and flavorful. I'm so happy I came to try from ATL!!!!!
I've been to many bubble tea shops all over Canada and the USA and this may be one of the best ones. There is a smaller, curated menu that is delivered to perfection. We tried a variety of drinks and snacks, but by far the best was the mapo tofu tots and the fried chicken sandwich. The staff are also extremely friendly and took the time to explain everything to us and check on us. Definitely would recommend in you're visiting the LA area!!
I really enjoyed their seasonal drinks such as the Blueberry Cooler. Everything was super fresh!Out of the food items, the popcorn chicken was worth noting because they were crunchy on the outside and not dry on the inside. Everyone seemed to enjoy the drinks though so you can’t go wrong there!
Awesome drinks. Staff is friendly.
I live in the east coast so I don’t get to come here often, but I make sure to visit Bopomofo multiple times wherever I’m in town. You really can’t go wrong with any of their drinks, but the taro sweet milk is my personal fav. All of their food is well-made and delicious too! The wait can get a bit long, but their online ordering system makes things easy. Counting down the days until my next visit!
I have only been able to hear about this place but finally was able to try it myself. It is pretty cool to know that this place is ran by WongFu, which me and my friends have watched since they first started making videos. When me and my family first got there, the first person we saw was Phil, tending and being extremely attentive to all the customers. You can just see the heart that he puts into the place, making sure everyone is enjoying their time, and even pausing to take selfies with people if they asked. This place is very interesting. It is like they chose to have certain food Chinese food that people like (like popcorn chicken, mapo tofu) and fused it together with awesome drinks. First off to note is that it is probably easier to order ahead of time. There is outside seating but it is all first come first serve. If you happen to be vegetarian there are other options as well.FoodSince it was our first time here we wanted to try many of their items. We ordered:Honey Walnut Shrimp Burger - This was quite good, pretty much if you ever had walnut shrimp as a dish, picture that in a burger.Spicy Popcorn Chicken - This is a classic Taiwanese snack, and they do it quite well!Mapo Tots- Added the fried egg for $1.50 - This was so interesting. Being a fan of Mapo Tofu, then adding it on top of tots was actually pretty good.HEY Sesame Milk- They mentioned that they made the sesame in house, although it was quite good, I would probably ask for less sweet next timeI believe they really researched and did a lot of planning before they opened this place (and their new location in Artesia) Fusing great food, thinking about the customer, their choices. I guess you can say the food is similar to their video production, where they have thought of reaching out to as many different emotions and familiar scenarios someone can go through, but this time they are now able to through it through food and taste. I think the most interesting thing about their drinks is that I would consider them quite premium. Working previously at a boba place, it is interesting that they use no powdered creamer, no artificial flavors or syrups. I have to come back and try some of the other drinks that they have and give their coffee a try while grabbing some more Mapo Tots. Look forward to drop by again or try their other location soon!
We were pretty impressed! Mapo tofu tots and guava matcha boba were solid. Popcorn chicken tastes straight out of a Taiwanese night market.Outdoor seating available. We went around the lunch rush and wow it is a popular spot. You order on their website even in person which helps streamline things as they are currently a bit understaffed.I hope to come back again soon to try the other boba flavors.
Mapo tofu tots. Guava matcha boba.
The popcorn chicken is spicy! Proleche used to have good popcorn chicken, but then the quality dropped. I have found a new popcorn chicken leader in Bopomofo. The drinks and boba are also ?. It can be pretty busy, so the wait might take a bit, but it’s worth it. Service was friendly, too. They also have interesting flavors here. I want to try the corn drink sometime.
Peak Asian fusion, great tea and super creative food. I recommend the Mapo Tofu tater tots and the Walnut shrimp burger. These are great ways to reimagine classic dishes into a new form. It gets busy here, so you should order ahead, and don’t be surprised if it takes the better part of an hour for orders to be ready during peak hours.
