The pizza is fine but used to be a lot better, the amount of chicken has dwindled to only a fine scattering of small pieces now. But their delivery person is deplorable. Multiple times their driver is late or won’t come to the door. This time I ordered through Grubhub and the expected delivery was within a 30 minute window but the driver came an hour after that window. The driver phoned me saying he couldn’t find parking so could I please meet him at the front door. I went downstairs and the street was empty, plenty of parking. Nobody was outside. I looked halfway down the block and saw a car parked but I couldn’t see anybody inside or nearby. After waiting a few minutes I finally shouted hello! The driver emerged from behind the parked car in the back. When I asked him why he wasn’t outside my apartment or at least visible, I was closing the gate and he tried to push it open. I managed to slam it shut, scary. Grubhub offered me a delivery refund but I wish they could’ve removed the 20% tip that I left for the driver on the app when ordering. I will never order from them again.
The pizza sauce is very unappetizing. The food that we eat has evolved over a long period of time. Cooks over the ages have built the recipes based on what goes well together. Putting ingredients from far distant cuisines can lead to a disaster. Zante’s pizza is A perfect example of such.
The Chicken Tiki Masala Pizza was amazing in spite of the previous 1 star response. It's not spicy like a plate of it, but it's pizza ?If you plan to get it, call them. Don't use the "website." It's just a link to a disguised UberEATS.
We had the paneer tikka masala pizza, and it was interesting. For first timers, try this with an open and exploratory mindset, perhaps. I liked it better with the mint/yogurt sauce they provided. I love paneer and I love pizza, but the combination is not one I would go for again, personally, but hey - it's your call! The food was made fresh and cooked well. Their masala tea was excellent. The place itself was 1980s frozen in time, including the restroom, which could use a renovation.
Haven't been there in years! The Indian pizza was still great! Light crust, full of flavors. Brought two people who had never tried Indian pizza and they loved it. Had 1/2 vegetarian and 1/2 chicken tikki masala, both delicious!
So sad to see Zante isn't the top result when you search for Indian pizza and your in the bay. This place is the OG, age BY FAR has the best Indian pizza. If you haven't had Zante Pizza and you're looking for Indian pizza, look no further. Its the best. Hands down.
I was really hyped to try out their pizza after seeing them in the "Munchies Pizza Show with Frank". We ordered the XL half&half paneer Tikka and chicken Tika. The restaurant had closed their dine-in service due to omicron guidelines. The service was quick (less than 5 minutes). I met the head chef and he seemed chill.Coming to the food, the texture was next to excellent. The crust was light and airy. The sauce was a little bland but it still had that saag flavor. Paneer was really soft. Chicken was alright at best. I wish the overall taste had a more kick to it.If you're in town, it could be a good try but I do think there are better spots out there for indian pizza.
Best Indian pizza, and actually a good pizza overall. Paneer Tikka and veggie cauliflower are my picks
Possibly the worst pizza I’ve ever had. Had a 75% discount through DoorDash and still regretted it. Got the chicken tikka masala pizza. Exceptionally bland.
Some of the best breads I’ve ever tasted! The Indian pizza was delicious! Our waiter was really hospitable and funny. Service was quick. The food was amazing. If you’re a fan of pizza and have never tried Indian pizza from this place, do yourself a favor and try this place asap! You won’t regret it.
