Heard about this neighbourhood hole-in-the-wall Burmese restaurant and how cheap it was - HAD to make a visit.I tried the House Noodles in Chicken - very average. Was kind of disappointed because the reviews were great and prices cheap.Unwilling to give up on this place - couple days later I went back. I tried the Chicken Noodle Soup and the Curry Chicken. Unfortunately my experience wasn't too different. Extremely Average food. The girl running the restaurant is very friendly and likes to chat with the regulars. That's fun. Her mom (I'm assuming), does all the cooking. She's a powerhouse and pumps out food all day. I think she needs a hand cause the flavours are largely lacking. Must be my Indian taste buds.

Great prices. I loved the chili spinach noodles, but the tofu curry was not very flavorful. Would come back solely because it’s so cheap and there are some gems on the menu. They even have a bathroom!

I got the house noodle w/ beef $8, and I love how garlicky it is. A good portion, very very decent for the price. You can’t really go wrong if you just need some good cheap eat in SF.

Awesome, delicious, cheap. The only place in the nabe with a line and the wonderful sassy lady taking orders knew the people near me waiting for food with names like “Sister” and “Breakfast”. These people were regulars and some of them even knew each other from their regular patronage. Got the garlic noodles with chicken and they were so yummy. Worth the wait and a fun discovery experience. Check out the art alley nearby.

Lowest priced dinner I’ve had in San Francisco, but the flavors were just barely there. Quality was decent. Had the curry beef with rice, quite oily and expected more in terms of taste. Not bad but definitely not great. I personally would not return but the service is friendly and quick enough and my friends enjoyed their egg rolls.

Yamo is an extremely affordable spot in the Mission! I ordered the mango chicken and it was pretty good, nothing to write home about but definitely worth getting again! I’ve added a photo of their menu with an employee’s favorite dishes circled. Sorry for the glare on the pic!

Awesome little place. Although they aren't doing dine-in right now . I was a special guess . I had very delicious salad and Michelle mom hooked me up with a awesome veggie plate . If you are any where near Mission and 18 .Do yourself a favor and stop by. Garuntee goodness.?

Very fast and reasonably priced, but the food was not very good. The noodles in particular were dry. We thought the food would taste very fresh because we saw it being cooked in front of us, but it was hard to get through. We did really like the samosas, though!

Yamo was recommended to us by quite a fancy restaurant outside the city. The idea of a Burmese hole in the wall caught my attention. Yamo offers a simple menu with noodle, house, and curry dishes. They are also very cheap and good for a large meal or take out.

I legit bought takeout to bring home to eat and ate it all before I got home. Yamo is one of my absolute favorite places to get noodles and you can’t beat the price. This is San Francisco at its best right here.Note: You paid $6.00 for a meal. Sit down and eat your dang food and leave. Otherwise, leave a $20 tip.
