5 stars for the professionalism. My comments represent 3 orders from 3 people.I ordered a side of potatoes and at the bottom of the bowl, after having eaten some, I saw pieces of bacon. I am vegetarian, and mentioned it to the server and they discussed with their manager and they apologized, took off the potatoes and our drinks. That was a nice gesture and I appreciate that. They also accommodated our dairy-sensitive person as well which was nice. So 5 stars on management and service. Now the food and drinks:I had an iced latte with oat milk and I liked it. I wish it was a bit larger. The bloody mary was spicy. So on drinks maybe 4 stars. The Swedish pancake was great. The French toast could improve. Somehow the flavor was too strong and lemony and the edges of the toasts were a bit hard (in my opinion). The eggs Benedict was okay as well but not the best. The food gets 4 stars as well.Overall, a chill and nice atmosphere for a Monday brunch, if you are visiting, and nice staff.I may come back but will be mindful while ordering and will ask more questions to confirm my dietary restrictions are met.Overall, recommended.

At the current 4.7 rating, I felt this place’s star rating was inflated. Don’t get me wrong—it’s a good brunch place, but at 4.7 with almost 400 reviews, I expected something more special. First: skip the açai bowl—it’s not an açai bowl but closer to an açai-flavored Greek yogurt with berries that you could probably just throw together at home. The Swedish pancakes with lingonberry and lemon curd are good. If I were to go again, I’d probably give the huevos divorciados a go!

Visited a friend in town and he brought me to Wooden Spoon. Cute little restaurant in Dubose Triangle. I love that the walls are decorated with wooden spoons. We ordered a mimosa ($9) with fresh squeezed orange juice. For breakfast, I had the breakfast panini ($16). It was delicious. The eggs were really fluffy. I had some pancakes from my friends big spoon ($19) and they were great.I would definitely come back here again.

Visited with a friend for a Saturday brunch. Parking in the area is difficult. I was able to find a spot along Sanchez Ave near Duboce Park. They don't take reservations or have a digital waitlist, so you have to write your name down on a clipboard outside their restaurant and hang around until they call your name. For our group of 2 we had about a 25 minute wait. The menu had lots of gluten free and vegetarian options. I ordered the soft scrambled eggs and my friend (gluten and dairy free) was able to order the huevos divorciados without cheese.Food came out very quickly and was delicious! The smoked salmon melted in your mouth and the potatoes were perfectly seasoned. The only downside for my meal was the fruit didn't seem very fresh.Overall great experience, just wish they could implement a digital reservation or waitlist system so you could walk around or browse the nearby shops while you wait. When we were leaving there were about 20 people waiting outside and blocking parts of the sidewalk.

I hate waiting but it was worth the wait!Fantastic breakfast food - huge portions.Personal recommendation is ordering the large spoon to share and try the French toast and the sausages.I was really disappointed for the banana and pecan pancakes, but everything else is worth the calories. Also, they have an amazing Bloody Mary.Service is in a whole new level and they’re all really friendly.I love this place.

We were visiting from out of state and wanted a family friendly brunch. Location was great, parking wasn’t too bad. Wooden spoon was extremely accommodating with our kids. The overall staff were so welcoming and so kind, they took great care of us. The entire menu looked amazing, so we ordered quite a bit. Our food came out very quickly. Each dish was so aesthetically pleasing and delicious. Hands down the best French toast I have ever had in my life. We have never had fresh squeezed oranges in our mimosas before, and it was so incredible. What a way to start our morning! I cannot wait to visit San Fran again just for the French toast, I literally cannot stop talking about it to my husband ? Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience.

I was pretty impressed with the Wooden Spoon. Upon entering, I was greeted by a friendly staff member who kindly checked my vaccination card and helped me get seated. The food is exceptional and reasonably-priced. The reason I am giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is that the service was a little poor. The servers were not friendly (did not even offer a greeting) and only came by ONCE after taking my order. I ordered drip coffee (which was rather expensive), and they only came by one time to refill my coffee, which was LONG past due. The kitchen staff is really impressive, however, providing delicious food with excellent presentation in a timely manner. I will be back to the Wooden Spoon to try out more of their dishes—and hoping that the service will be better next time.

Had the big spoon, huevos divorciados, biscuit & gravy, banana & pecan pancakes, and the house hash. The side of potatoes was nice & crispy. Everything was delicious and had generous portion sizes. The free flow coffee refills was much appreciated by the group considering our 4 am start to the day. We were well taken care of. Almost zero wait time when we got there around 8 am. Enjoyed the cute Christmas themed spoon decor.

- came here for sunday brunch and there was a long line. waited almost an hour for my group of 6 to be seated but you should have better luck with groups of 2-3- bloody mary: decent bloody mary, would probably not get again. had nice spice to it though- soft scrambled eggs: great balanced meal! the eggs were the main dish and tasted great with the smoked salmon, dill, and creme but the potatoes and the arugula salad sides were the standout!- potatoes were crispy but cut large enough to have good filling inside.- the arugula salad had this slightly creamy and sour flavor which cut through the creaminess of the egg and oiliness of the potatoes.- service was ok nothing special
