OK, start with the cinnamon-walnut rugelach. I am not kidding. It is the most buttery, nutty, delicious yums you will eat this year. Just start with two or three. Then, go to the Number 19 with corned beef. It was outstanding. Especially because the bread was perfect and the meat was not too salty. Trust me, though, start with dessert!
Came here looking for a vegan bagel with vegan cream cheese and was so happy with the offerings here. I got the poppyseed bagel with vegan sunflower cream cheese and it was absolutely delicious! According to their website all bagels are vegan so will definitely be coming back for more. This location makes the best bagel in my opinion and love that’s it’s in the heart of Mission too
something I notice about this specific wise sons in that if you order take out your sandwich is always sloppy, and they skimp on the toppings. I got a classic salmon bagel and it was 90% capers. but if you order to stay the food is much better. they need to fix this cause I don’t have time to stay every time just to get the meal I paid for.

I was excited when we coincidently parked in front of Wise Sons Jewish Delicatessen. I admit I was snowed by the signage that said the pastrami was made in house. I confused house made with good tasting. Having lived for nearly two decades around New York City and now living in the Bay Area I often have good pastrami sandwich withdrawals and my hope springs eternal that I’ll find some place even a fraction as good as Katz in NYC. The pastrami sandwich at Wise Sons is indeed a fraction as good but it is a very small fraction. Let me put it this way. Making a pastrami sandwich at home with even just decent rye bread and packaged pastrami from Costco is significantly better. The meat was really dry and not flavorful (of beef or spices). The portion of meat was embarrassingly small. All piled up in the center to fake the eater out but once you redistribute it across the bread, it is the thinnest of a layer. To be fair, the rye bread was excellent. My wife got the Matzo Ball Soup. It was terrible. I told her to return it but she ate half and left the rest. It tasted very stale and old, like it was weeks old. And it was served luke warm. Two women sitting next to us ordered the potato latkes, they too looking like they had been prepared days or more in advance and then just lightly heater up. They look greasy and unappetizing. Maybe they tasted OK but after seeing them I would not bet on it. Service was friendly. All and all, I would never return to any of the Wise Sons delis. Really disappointing.

This place customers selection is really there. If you are not the type of customer that will like to have, they will ask you for vaccination ID to eat inside, and they will be rude. Also, they will sale the food to you as if they were doing you a big favor. Perhaps are the owner son. Long curly puffy hair.
Stopped by to grab dinner and loved getting breakfast for dinner (yes pls). Corned Beef Hash was great, service was strong and the location was nice and clean. Swing by if you are in the area.
The Lox bagel was delicious, no doubt. What soured the experience was charging for an iced tea refill. You may have had the extra income from that one visit, but you lost a returning customer.
