Breakfast was hard to find within a short distance from our hotel other than the hotel’s buffet (not a fan of all you can eat). Found this gem and was not disappointed. I had the sesame bagel with salmon smear and it was divine! I wish there was a Wise Sons back home. Hubby got the server recommended breakfast burrito and was not disappointed. Fully stuffed with a delicious salsa verde on the side. Loved looking at all of the photos on the wall, too.
Maybe its because I am a stickler for authentic New York style bagels, but I don't get the hype. These were easily the worst bagels I have had, for the price. They have the imagery and the atmosphere down, but the food just doesn't deliver. For how much a simple bagel costs, it should be something special.
We had friends and family over for brunch so decided to have some delicious food delivered. Everything else was delicious, but unfortunately they were forced to substituted the best babka, chocolate, for their cinnamon babka. We tried to take it on the chin, stuff happens... but found that the cinnamon babka was only 2 days from expiring and was already quite hard and dry. We put it out with ice cream thinking it might still be worth serving, but everybody just ate the ice cream by itself. Someone also brought pie so it wasn't a complete failure. Very disappointed. $15 babka should be fresh and delicious.
Best bagels I’ve had in the city, and closest to NYC, but loses a star for price. A bagel sandwich just shouldn’t be $16+, especially from a street-side counter. To be fair, they do have some affordable options. Half a dozen bagels for under $12 is awesome. The spreads are very tasty, and $1 full pickles are a steal.UPDATE: I revised my rating from 4 stars to 5 after Wise Sons provided excellent customer service as a response in this review. It means a lot when a company takes the time to acknowledge and respond to feedback. Thank you
super sad and dissatisfying. the latkes are great but probably the worst matzo ball soup I’ve had. very disappointing, I’ve had Wise Sons Matzo ball soup at the mission location and it was great but the soup I was served today at Fillmore was pretty bad. Very bland, no flavor, and overall just very watery and plain,,, I can sadly say this was the Worst Matzo Ball soup I’ve had, super sad by this experience.
Great stop!! I had the classic bagel & lox, and enjoyed every bite!!! Good option for any hour of the day! There are different goodies and enough places to sit. I really will come again.
Long term customer at other branches. This one seems the most poorly managed. Waited 10 min on top of the promised waiting time only to find out that my order was ready and no one called my name.
Bagels are good, far from what we’ve been used to from Beauty’s in Oakland (before Wise bought them out) & not as good as Daily Driver. Their smoked lox is $50 a lb on DoorDash; heroin prices...
Good bagels but every time I placed an order online I had to wait an extra 30 minutes after the pick up time.
Cheapest bagel in the city and you get what you pay for, mine today’s was cold and hard like it was left over from yesterday. Lenders frozen bagels are better than these. Very disappointing.
