Delicious food and great service. The noise level is low and the room decor pleasant and inviting. All together good but def not inexpensive.
Salad was Drenched in dressing with old fried chicken
Service was really slow. One guy took our order after we sat there for 15 minutes but I'm not sure we ever spoke to him again. Someone else check on our food after it was delivered. Had to flag a hostess to take payment, never got togo boxes because no one ever came back to the table.
Might be the best food I have ever had in the city. Everything was gourmet and beautifully crafted with perfect flavors.
Everything is fantastic. The food is great and my team had a great time here for lunch.
We had a reservation and arrived 45 minutes early, they were happy to accomodate us. The presentation, food service was great.
Limited but interesting and delicious menu. Enjoyed our meal very much. So close to the Orpheum Theater. We'll definitely go here again.
The lunch service was very attentive and the food tasty.
Fun ideas, but not the best execution. I don't dine at fancy, cutting-edge restaurants too often as they are a treat to go to. This place certainly offers a unique menu, but the execution of the plates and drinks fell fairly flat. 3 stars because you could easily skip this place, but you could also certainly find enjoyment here. I wouldn't recommend it, but I wouldn't recommend against it. We got a few cocktails--the Santa Barbara, the Naked & Famous, and the Old Cuban. Each one of these drinks were strong on the alcohol, not well balanced, and not what I would expect from a swanky place that seemed like it would have more nuance in both food and drink. I honestly felt the drinks were put together by an amateur bartender (like myself at home). We only got appetizers--complimentary amuse bouche, the scallop and shrimp roll, and roasted carrots. The amuse bouche was a little cracker/sandwich of chicken liver, foam, bread crumbs, dried fruit, and one more item I'm forgetting. It that was good/decent, complex and nuanced, as expected and delightful if you're looking for pate as your first bite. The seafood roll was decent--I may be wrong, but I believe the scallop plays the roll of the roll/binder with ground shrimp and a paste in the center. The carrots were good, but not as fantastic as I've seen other reviewers claim. For starters, it's a cold dish. For some reason, I was expecting a bit of hot & cold play with the carrots being roasted and served at least warm, but no, they were near the temperature of the ice cream. The dish IS special--it made me think of a sort of deconstructed carrot in that the roasted, cold carrot itself was earthy (with the hay flavor), the date ice cream was the sweetness (but not cloyingly sweet), and the frisee mix were the leaves. Overall, I won't be back there, but that's not to say the place is bad, it's just not my style.
Superb food. Michelin quality.
