Exotic ramen with bone marrow. Broth is deep, and well match with bone marrow and other topings. Also, try roasted beef filet. Strongly recommend

I LOVE Ushi Taro. I first tried it with a few friends and now make an effort to go by myself when my ramen craving arises (very often these days). It’s a great spot to grab a bowl and kick it with friends or to take yourself on a date. Big fan! Will be back any day now:)

Great tasting ramen. The beef is cooked perfectly rare, and the beef based broth is delicious. Servings are also very generous

We stopped on it while I was in the Sunset and.. WHAT A PLACE. straight to #1 Ramen place in SF. Best vegan option I’ve had.

Pros: Rich flavorful broth. The egg was cooked perfectly. The noodles were above average. The interior has a decent amount of seating.Cons: nothing really. I do think the bone marrow topping (pictured) is over priced and not worth it. But if you don’t pay for that it’s a fair price and high quality.

A variation on the traditional pork-based ramen, Ushi Taro is one of those random, hole-in-the-wall places that you'd never know was around that serves up delicious beef-based ramen. Like literally - they specialize in the beef bone marrow which adds an extra dimension to the dish. I try and visit as often as I can because it's that good, though my pick of choice is the rather simple, but deceptively named "Spicy" ramen. I find it on the borderline of mild and hot, but I'd guess it would be more into the hot rating for others not accustomed to spices/spiciness.

Came here for dinner and YUM, what a great idea!INDOOR DININGThis place is tiny but luckily when we dined in there weren't too many people. There are counter/bar seating around the room and then a couple of long tables.FOODAs a starter, we ordered the beef karaage - marinated beef that's lightly coated and fried. The beef was so tender and flavorful. I just wished it was crispy. For the ramen, we ordered the spicy ramen. It wasn't spicy but it was delicious! The broth is rich and the noodles were nice and chewy. The overall portion is pretty big - we definitely left feeling full and happy.SERVICEIt's just one person working in the dining area but she was still efficient. When you're done eating, pay at the front.I'll definitely be back and I look forward to trying the other bowls of ramen! :)

Delicious ramen with yummy sides like bone marrow or black garlic oil. The portions are BIG but the space is small. Plan accordingly. Also the fried mushrooms are a must-order.

Hidden gem of a ramen spot in Inner sunset! Within our group, we basically tried all the different types of ramen and thought they were all great. I feel like the traditional paitan was the group favorite, but depending on what you're feeling... they all hit the spot. Will echo some of the other reviews here and say that it's no the most COVID-friendly spot (very small, air tight, and shared benches) but hopefully that's only a temporary concern.Although the crispy mushrooms were good, they were a bit pricey for what they were, so I'd honestly probably stick with ramen next time I visit here.

Pretty good ramen and simple, I would come back there. There is a coffee/ice cream shop next door for desserts.
