Review from 2018: Upcider is a unique concept. They specialize in ciders on tap, but also have a few bottled beers. The vibe is really cool - the bar is located on the second floor of a building right on the corner of Polk street. On a busy Friday or Saturday night, you can have a nice view of everyone walking around Polk street. They also have a few things on the food menu. We ordered the sweet potato fries and the charcuterie plate.

Upcider is awesome - huge cider selection, great food (the flatbreads are especially good), and awesome second floor seating with a corner view. One of my favorite places in the city. They didn’t post any notice that they’re on vacation for now (asked the waitress at the bar downstairs to find out what’s going on) and sounds like they’ll be open again in a couple weeks. (An update here or on their website would be helpful).

Great selection of ciders. Cool vibe. Food was a mixed bag. Sandwiches were great. Wouldn’t recommend the meatballs or flat bread.

We love Upcider :) We’re cider fans from the UK and yesterday we came back to Upcider for the first time in six years! Ömer is one of the owners. He’s really friendly and made loads of recommendations for us. I love the flights where you can sample 6 ciders for $25. Even if you think you don’t like cider, he’ll find something for you - or there’s plenty of other alcohol available too. It’s a great spot for a date, catch up with friends, or business drinks. They can also host private events and do great food. It’s a shame how many independent businesses have closed since covid, so I hope locals and visitors alike will keep Upcider going for at least another six years…

The best bar you can find for cider. Great selection from dozens of choices, and service is amazing

Unclear if still open. Went by at 5 pm on a Sunday. Doors were closed. No one picked up the phone.

I had heard about this place a couple weeks after it opened and really couldn't believe it was acutally where people said it was. I had looked all over for Upcider until I finally looked up and saw the sign. Then I had to find the entrance which was just as confusing as its above a Subway but it is definitely worth the scavenger hunt it takes to get there.Love the ambiance set up by the upstairs location. You have to go up some stairs that sprawls out into a simple bar layout that works so well for this small location. There are plenty of tables set up for group events or dinner dates. And much like Fly Bar next door they actually have enough food on the menu to warrant making this a dinner option as opposed to just grabbing drinks. This has to be my favorite date spot in the city. Its not too expensive and it has the novelty of being a cider bar. I have never encountered one of these before and with cider being my favorite kind of drink needless to say I was in heaven. Just the sheer amount of Cider options will overwhelm you if you are not a pro. There are at least 8 pages of ciders from every country that produces quality cider. So many imports to please even the most picky of cider fans. If you aren't sure where to start and have no idea about crispness, bitterness or sweetness the bartenders will willingly help you make a selection. They are so good at their jobs I am always afraid my dates are going to leave me for them after a couple minutes of chatting with them. They always make quality selections and keep the night going.Whether sitting at the bar or at the tables or along the window there is plenty of room and it never gets too crowded during the weekdays. Be forewarned they are closed on Mondays. Also no need to get dressed up but I would recommend business casual. No one just rolls in off the street or out of bed.The food is fantastic as well. I would recommend the flatbreads, the garlic friends and the ceasar kale salad. Its the perfect complimentatry food for ciders light and tasty. I have tried several of the dishes there and nothing has really disappointed. You can eat as little or as much as you want so head there anytime after work. You really can't beat this location if you are looking for an alternative to the wine and beer of most bars. You get something different in a romantic and intimate setting and are perched above the people on polk street. It doesn't get much better than this.

Nice decor. All of our food that came at different times was cold (flatbread, meatballs, Mac and cheese, and chicken sandwich). Ciders were on the flat side.

One-of-a-kind cider bar. Owner was super helpful educating me on his vast cider selection. The Flatbread was awesome. Support this biz in tough times!

A nice second floor location with large glass walls. Nice for city watching. A great cider selection. Usually not very busy. The staff is very nice, and the buffalo fries are pretty good.
