Taco Tuesday $2 tacos and $2 Tecate
The folks at Andytown recommended Underdogs so we gave it a try and I’m glad we did. Although a new employee mistakenly took our order for a San Francisco burrito over the Santa Fe breakfast burrito, both were incredibly delicious, packed with flavor, and the ingredients were well distributed. The restaurant had a Mexicali-style, beach-style vibe with heavy burritos and grilled tortillas. Both our selections were delicious, but the San Francisco burrito (like a California burrito without the fries) was the star in my mind and I can’t wait to come back for another. Oh and the chips and salsa were also excellent.
I ate here this morning. I used to like this place. It’s almost noon when I ordered my lunch but the waiter was rushing too much. Almost too disrespectful. It made me think maybe because I don’t look elegant and felt discriminated almost. I hope its just in my head so I tried to analyzed why he acted that way. In my opinion, maybe he was just too busy sure…? However, people can always wait if he is cordial enough to say so. The experience this morning terribly almost ruin my day. From the time I got the menu up to the time I was giving him a tip 25%. Egad! I’m too kind. (3 stars ) for that Burrito, Salsa and chips, and churros always the best and ( -2 stars ) for that waiter who was so domineering!
Minutes from the surf of Ocean Beach, a cool bar/restaurant with scrumptious tacos and plenty of seating, plus dazed and confused servers. A cross-sectional representation of California.
worst burrito i have ever had and it was at least $12. wheat tortilla i didn't ask for. bland and old filling. couldn't finish my burrito. i know covid was rough on restaurant businesses and workers, and the manager or owner was kind, but please make quality food if youre going to work there (sous chefs). i was really surprised to be served such an awful burrito, because underdogs tres was decent. i am never buying from here again, sorry
THIS PLACE IS GREAT. My family has been here twice recently. We got different things each time and we were not disappointed each time. We tried the San Diego and San Francisco burritos. Both yummy. What really impressed me was the floutas. I got one in each flavor. Chicken, beef and carrot??? Yes, order it!! The carrot was sooo good. My child even liked it. And she loved the horchata and pancakes.Ok, i have come back 3 more times now, LOOK at these Nacho’s! Need I say more….. except delicious. Gotta come back for more, especially on the weekend, since they only serve pancakes on the weekend!
I ordered a grilled veggie quesadilla. I'm so embarrassed for them to present this soggy wrap to me. It was literally swimming in a pool of grease. Some veggies were grilled but others seemed to be steamed or microwaved. I couldn't even pick it up it was so soggy. I refused to eat and complained I was offered chicken tacos which were so dry. We won't be eating here ever again. Big waste of money.
My wife and I were looking for restaurants in sunset district, and we saw Underdogs Too and gave it a try. The food was amazing with great quality and a very good price ( something that is hard to find in SF area), the carne asada breakfast burrito was very tasty and the watermelon agua fresca was soo awesome. My wife also enjoyed her breakfast quesadilla. Great service from our waitress Nick. We will definitely comeback. Highly recommended !!!
Really good Tacos in a local gem. Underdogs Too is back after a fire and a refurbishment. The food is just as good as ever. Get the chips, salsa and guac to start, then some tacos for a great meal. We sat outside, in their very good parklet. The service is excellent and the food outstanding. An Outer Sunset spectacular.
