Okay food and amazing tiki drinks. Probably some of the best tiki drinks I’ve ever had not on a beach. The staff is also super efficient and friendly.Definitely smells weird but you get a thunderstorm show on the hour.

Fun and popular dining spot at the Fairmont San Francisco. Special effects give the impression of a tropical storm with "lightning", "thunder", and "rain". Good food and service. If you want a table you should get there close to 5pm opening, because by 6pm it's packed.

Good atmosphere, music was live and good. They didn't just play tiki classics which was what we were hoping for. Cover was $15 pp after 7pm. I had to return 2 drinks as there was something off inthe mix ingredients they were using. The Mai Tai was good. Unfortunately my high expectations were not met.

Really fun place to visit but the wait can be long to get in, so arrive early or be prepared to wait. They also stop serving dinner early-ish so don't plan on eating if it's after 8ish (I can't remember the exact time). The drinks are snazzy and super good but are all around $20+. The band was really good and played a wide range of fun songs to dance to. We had a blast there and I'll go back if ever in San Fran again.

What a fun place! It is a Rainforest Cafe for adults! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was fun and upbeat. Looked like we were on a ship. They have live music and storms come through occasionally. Our server was very attentive and fun. They don’t take reservations unless you are staying at the Fairmont, so be prepared to arrive early or wait in line.

This is a review for their bar only. We visited on a Saturday around 6pm and were able to bypass the line since we went for drinks only. Probably too kitschy for some, but we enjoyed the tiki decor and occasional downpours of rain in their lagoon. They have a standing area looking out towards the lagoon and I'd recommend snagging a spot by the view if you can.I found the Tonga Kong to be too syrupy sweet. I much preferred the Mai Tai, which had a nice touch of tartness and comes in a fun tiki themed glass. The drinks are strong enough that you really only want one, which is good because they're all $19+We immediately paid for our drinks and were able to avoid the $15 cover charge that starts at 7pm (or maybe that's only applicable if you're seated at a table). The live band was fantastic and we had enough time to stay for a few songs.

Very very good food and amazing drinks. Probably some of the best tiki drinks I’ve ever had. The staff is also super efficient.Overall I’ve got to agree with some of the other folks tho that the vibe inside is just weird, not to mention the cover for sitting and the crazy wait. Will definitely come back for the drinks.

This place is everything a good tiki bar should be. The vibe is outstanding the band playing live music on the floating stage that's in water. The only thing I didn't like? The drinks.. had a zombie (which I have had at other tiki bars and bars in general ANDDDD the drink was very weak.

band seemed to target a demographic two or three decades older than anybody in the bar.

mango panna cotta with fresh fruit and topped with a little meringue
