Atmosphere is a little dingy but food is delicious! I got the vegan burrito and my dad got the chicken fried steak. We’re both foodies and he said it’s the best one of the best ones he’s had.

Village Cafe gets a lot of extra points for being open at 7:30 rather than 8 or 830 like many other places. It also is located on a quiet street served by some of the most picturesque street cars. The eggs Benedict were excellent, and the fruit crepes were also very good, if a bit dry. Service was fast and friendly.
First timer.. I travel all over North America and I'll have to say the Eggs Benedict at The Village Cafe are the best I've ever had. Home fries are perfect and what you expect! (Not frozen) with a nice watermelon slice on the side. Great coffee and friendly staff. I'll be back.
Really great experience. We came with vegans and non-vegans and everyone enjoyed the food. Kitchen was nice and clean. The service was exceptional.
