Food was good, not great. I ordered the fish and chips. There could have been a bit more fish and less breading. Was a bit annoyed when I asked for a few extra toast points or crackers for the crockery of melted cheese we had ordered, I was told “We don’t do that. But you can order bread.” Really? A mound of fries with fish that went untouched and you cannot serve a proper amount of toast points with the cheese? Ambiance was nice and the service was average.

The caviar appetizer option is fantastic. Very unique using delicious waffles in lieu of blinis. Really makes for a more hearty bite but just as tasty. The service was great and attentive as you should expect from The Vault. My only complaint was the risotto, which was an interesting take. The flavor was good although too much like a stroganoff with the sour cream. Also, my portion was half soup/liquid so I may have only had 4-5 bites of actual risotto rice. I may have received what was left in the pot.

I love The Vault Garden and look forward to eating there again. I love the ambiance. It is a little pricey, but so are a lot of restaurants throughout San Francisco.

high quality service, attentive waiter, good foods

Loved The Vault Garden and everything about it. Excellent food , wine, service, ambiance and unique outdoor setting. Easy parking in the dedicated garage and $5 with validation made everything really easy for downtown SF parking. Will recommend to other friends.

$27 for 1/2 dozen oysters? $32 for a TINY serving of Cioppino 2% Propane charge? seriously. Yeah - not going back.

Lovely garden environment with pub grub - know if you are booking the pub or steakhouse

Labor shortage impacting restaurants getting good help and service. Rolling eyes and attitude from the waitress and hostess on separate occasions. Replacement waiter was excellent though. Although we work at 555, probably will look elsewhere for lunch.

It was a great dinner and experience. I will definitely come back. Thanks again!

The service was great! Oysters were fresh but shucked poorly. The fried rice side was nice. The interpretation of the ciopinno was pathetic for the price...70% onions, a maximum of 250ml of broth, and a deep fried, softshell crab that was reminiscent of a large cockroach. Great spot for drinks, but maybe not dinner.
