Ordered everything off menu, little interaction with the bartender. Seating was well spaced. It was a good burger and tots, also had good drinks. Not anything crazy, but solid choice for a quiet dinner with a friend and it seemed very Covid aware.
Didn't eat there, we walked over after a concert kitchen was closed already and we just had some drinks. As far as I can say , love the ambiance inside, bar staff was super nice and accommodating, drinks were good and bathroom clean. I know its probably a city thing, but wish bars were open longer, its a big city , yes?
Pliny the Elder beer and their Smash Burger
Love this place. If you’re lucky, John will be behind the bar. The guy makes fantasy cocktails. Food is casual but very good, consistent, and comforting. John + Snug is a big reason I made it through the pandemic. Thank you guys!
Super annoying ordering process where they only bring you your food when you order through the app and then they charge 20% service fee. I’m more than willing to pay 20%, but can I actually get some service? This takes away from the dining experience as you have to input all your CC information. They also put wristbands on to signal that I’m 21. Im almost 40, I don’t want to go to dinner and have a wristband. Lame. Food is pretty good but nothing spectacular.
Great spot for midday drinks (have not eaten food here). They use Toast for selfservice ordering at your table which I’ve found to be really easy and enjoyable.
We couldn’t find these restaurant first and I was looking at the map for it and couldn’t locate any signs. Then I noticed a waiter and asked what’s the name of this restaurant? He said “the snug” and we said oh that’s what’ve been looking for!We sat outside and the waiter told us that everything is online. And there is no waiter there. We could scan the QR code, place the order (individually or as a group) and then someone would bring the food to our table. Tips and service fee included. So you could leave upon payment. The whole process was very efficient and worked smoothly through the Toast website. There aren’t that many choices for food, but the ones that we tried the sweet potato tacos and double burger were really good. Nothing to complain about, just we didn’t receive water or anything upon seating and we couldn’t see the option there as well. Although the process was efficiently designed, I would have preferred if someone would come and check on us only once in case we missed something through the app.
The burger was good. The tater tots were great. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining about the burger. It hit and I have no regrets. But I’m definitely coming back for the tots over the fries.
I went there thinking the food would be good and the people nice. All of that turned out to be true. They also have an ingenious ordering system. It requires a phone, but it's very convenient. What made the experience nothing short of unbearable for me is how loud the place was. I was on the terrace. It was calm. It was quiet. There was a wonderful view on Fillmore. And then, there were speakers over my head blaring the most horrible sound possible at an insanely high volume for no understandable reason. All that was needed to make the experience nice as opposed to excruciating was not to do that. The Brussels sprouts were just great, so I can't give the place less than four stars. But I ran away as quickly as I could.
Delicious cocktails and very friendly staff. They have a lot of outdoor seating separated well from each table. I've had a salad with chicken which wasn't that good but I haven't tried any other food.
