Typical no frills dive bar, but at least they accept cards not just cash. Friendly staff, and friendly patrons as well. Overall good vibes. If you’re lucky or plan ahead, you can hear live music inside or out on the parklet patio.
I love this bar! I drove 2 hrs to see a live band at the Riptide. The drinks are great and reasonably priced. The staff is fun.
Great little bar in the outer sunset with a good tap selection and some fun open mic acts. There was also a lady with a cat sitting on the bar stools. Great place!

If White Cap is a little too posh for you, head across the street to the Rip Tide for classic beach dive bar vibes. Excellent atmosphere, live music on Sunday nights and stumbling distance from beautiful sunsets on the beach! Pretty average prices for the city, and it features a nice parklet to sit in— bring a coat! I don't think they're doing any indoor seating these days.
