Jeez. Im one of those people that never reviews things. But… oof.I bought an avacado chicken sandwich.1. It was soggy2. It fell apart in my hands (likely due to being vegan bread, but why is it vegan bread if there is chicken on it? ill give it a pass here)3. There was no honey mustard4. It was the driest sandwich ive ever eaten5. It was priced higher than sandwiches elsewhere (was running low on time; this is my fault)6. If the shop is “the plant cafe” maybe it should try using compostable packaging instead if the cheapest plastic container it can findGets 2 stars cuz 2 of these are on me
Today I went to San Francisco Airport Plant cafe.I bought 2 Thai Green curry chicken and sat down to eat and open the box.and everything looks brown I thought I have taken another person's food order.I showed it to the staff working there and showed.they said oh yes this is green curry I said how is green curry turn into a brown stir fry the kitchen staff one male person said this is green curry and this is how we make.I asked him why do you show a green curry on the display and charge for green curry he said we use tamari sauce. That means that person had never made or never eaten green curry.so if your restaurant sell a stirfry and cheat customer by selling green curry.Another nice female staff came up apologized and refunded my money and said If I am not satisfied this is the managers email.i think she did the right thing not the man who tried to convince me saying a brown stir-fry looking dish where they used tamari sauce as a green curry chicken.Manager and this man both need a good Thai food cooking training
Nice to have a place with vegan options, I hope they improve/stay open.Spicy tofu wrap: very little (unseasoned) tofu, the basil was a nice touch though.(Veggie) noodle soup: The flavors were actually really good (coming from a non vegan). My only complaints are the chefs cooked the life out of the veggies…blanche the veggies and put them aside until dish up. Another thing was my bowl had a really thick layer of oil, you can tell a clear separation between oil and the mushroom broth.Again, I hope they improve and stay open because there aren’t many vegan options at SFO.
Nice plant based options at SFO near gate D4
The only reason they get a 1 star is because it is sustenance, but it is not quality food. The spicy chocolate cookie is so burnt around the edges that it is really to break, but the middle is the consistency of laffy taffy. The chocolate chip is dry and flavorless.
So bad. Muffin super dry and crumbly, chewy, refrigerated chicken on salad. The best thing we got from this place was a not yet ripe banana. The sandwich my husband got was dry and cold. Overpriced and gross. Sorry Plant Cafe.
Avoid if possible, unless it’s been a long time since this review and they’ve had time to update. If this was located anywhere but an airport it wouldn’t be in business. I had the udon noodles - they were chopped up in short pieces and the most bland thing I’ve ever had. Comparable to eating tofu that hasn’t been spiced.I gave them a second chance with a muffin they recommended and it was horrible.
For a place with this sort of name, I was expecting many more veg-friendly choices. The spicy tofu wrap was so bland: I don't know if anyone in the kitchen has taste buds. Maybe they all lost their sense of smell after the pandemic.
We order quinoa bowl and Udon noodles. Quinoa bowl was excessively salty. I had bitter mouth for hours due to that salt. Noodle were okay. I recommend not to order quinoa bowl here.
We ordered chai tea latte and a mocha, amazing flavors. To be honest, We can feel the sustainability! ?
