The Pig & Whistle serves goujon sized fish & chips $13.75. I would have preferred one whole piece like how they do it in London. The ratio of batter and fish was good. The outside was crispy and soft on the inside. This was delicious. Too bad they didn't have mushy peas or regular peas as a side. The sausage rolls $6.75 were also terrific. Bonus points for having HP sauce on the tables. They have a great selection of beers on tap. I enjoyed my few pints of Firestone Union Jack IPA, London Pride and Stella. Great job bartenders and chef at The Pig & Whistle. This is a fun bar.

Great Irish pub with an interesting food menu, friendly staff and nice customers. Not very big which I like, and it had 2 bathrooms. Awesome in case of beer pees.

Great pub, great food and atmosphere. Pool tables in back. Awesome smell of fresh fish & chips from across street. Mushroom & steak pot pie was excellent!!

Friendly atmosphere and London Pride on tap. Nuff said.

The food was so good. The staff is very nice. And the place overall is a very fun environment. Lots of people chating and laughing. I went to dinner with my family and we had a great time.

Quiet and a little dark but a decent steak dinner for $15.50. Good experience for being from out of town.

I normally don’t do reviews but I was treated so poorly by the bartender at this bar I have to log a complaint. Walked in to get a beer with my date and was forced to show my license and a vax card - which I did. The bartender refused us service based on the expiration date of my license- I had both shots and the booster and he was totally rude to my date stating “you’re not from San Francisco, are you?” Went to a bar a block away and had no issue. We live in the City - is this the way you get treated now? Whistle and Pig - thanks for the lack of hospitality and lack of humanity.

Chill atmosphere with a friendly staff, particularly the owner and chef who are enthusiastic about the food they serve. Nothing hits the spot like genuine and good Irish pub fare.

Love this place. We were here to watch the baseball. The Giants lost, it was sad. Fortunately the awesome choice of beer on tap and yummy pub grub menu cheered us up. The staff are all super friendly and plenty of TVs to watch whatever game is on.

Great place, several taps. Food is ok, will do
