While on honeymoon, my husband and I wanted to try some authentic mac & cheese and grilled cheese. We had both at The Melt, along with garlic fries. All the food was really good and we were stuffed afterwards! Several vegetarian options which is always positive. The service wasn’t particularly friendly and you can’t order using the self kiosk unless you have an American cell phone. Pretty decent value for money and we would return if opportunity arose.
Have been here consistently 1x a week or so for couple months, it's my go too lunch / dinner in a fix spot and is reliably fast, neat, tasty. Great burgers. I've had good luck with salads and their tomato soup as well, get the extra croutons for it though!
Decent food but expect to wait up to 30 minutes after 11am. Guess they need to pay their staff more than the competition to get some help.
Tried this place for the first time. Place was busy and obviously very popular. I ordered the double melt since I was starving. Quite frankly it was too much, which I rarely have said in my life regarding burgers. But this was way more filling than your typical double cheeseburger.When it arrived it looked amazing, so much cheese dropping off it and all around. Clearly juicy as it was already starting to pool in the tray. I thought man, this might be my new favorite. Well, while it was good, it was not nearly my favorite. For starters I thought the meat while cooked well was under-seasoned. I also thought the jalapenos that come on the burger were flavorless. I think they've tried so hard to make them not spicy that they've made them closer to a cucumber in flavor than a jalapeno. Overall it was good, but amp those things up and you have a serious contender.The fries however were outstanding! Really tasty, crispy and well seasoned. The shake was awesome as well!I'll definitely be back, and would recommend giving it a try. Though next time I'll have a single patty, definitely good and filling!
Kay, Janeka, and Carmen was very helpful and was amazing when I went to get my order. They are hard working people and was lovely to have a small chat with. I hope they keep working here amazing people.
Purchased a few items from this location on 03/18/22 and when I got home and looked at a piece of my burger, I noticed that my meat was pink. That right there that you see in the picture is half cooked ground beef. I've been eating this burger all day and I just now noticed that the meat is raw in the middle. I am extremely upset. This is unacceptable. I am definitely coming back to complain in person. That was the barbecue bacon melt burger ?? Eat here at your own risk?
What a HORRIBLE & DISGUSTING experience.This location should be closed down for Health reasons!I have asvised the SF Health Dept to conduct a thorough inspection of this location thru their Health Hotline.1. Tables, floors, counters were dirty, unattented. I had to ask for a table to be cleaned (Inside) before my food was done. An employee emerged with a cloth & wiped down the table where I wanted to sit with a dirty cloth. I expected a Disinfectent spray with a papertowel or clean cloth ro clean the table. One can only guess what was on the cloth used. That same employee than disappeared into the cooking area WITHOUT cleaning the remaining tables. Every table was filthy.This was 3.21pm in the Afternoon. Well AFTER the lunch hour rush. Including myseld, there were Five customers inside the location.2. I than asked to use the Restroom to wash my hands since the disinfectent contaimer at the door was out of liquid.The bathroom was DISGUSTINGLY dirty as if it hadn't been cleaned in WEEKS. There was a liquid running from the wall of the bathroom into the hallway & right before the Bathroom door....wanna take a guess what it was???3. The Staff is very Unprofessional, unattentive & more concerned with talking to each orher than maintaining a Professional attitude & Standard.Out of the Six employees behind the counter, only ONE Female employee ( looked of Older Asian decent, Pink hair) was busy restocking drinks in the cooler, making limonade drinks, etc during this time. The other Five employees were in the kitchen talking BS to each other, incl what appeared as the manager. Very Unprofessional.4. ALL Self-Order Ipads were BROKEN so you had no choice but to interact with an Employee.5. This location should not be painted White for its Interior. It looks Dirty & clearly shows the wear & tear of the location.6. Lastly, my stomach was upset from these disqusting scenes of POOR Health & Hygeine standards, during a Pandemic, no doubt. I immediately threw my order in the trash & departed this location.As an Entrepreneur myself, I would immediately conduct my own investigation into this location on a regular basis, as well as my other franchises. Thus, it leads me to the Conclusion that this Franchaise is poorly managed, is not concerned with Customer satisfaction nor Health standards.A franchaise I certainly WILL NOT help maintain it's substandard performance with my visit.I await your corrective action/s in detail, to the SF Health Dept. concerning my request for a full enquiry into your Healrh standards.
overall waiting times are horrible , spent my 30 minute break on waiting for my Mac and cheese just for it to have a hair in it, so disappointing and disgusting and overall some employees aren’t wearing masks even the manager isn’t wearing one. definitely lost my appetite
when they said the juciest burgers, The Melt delivers. It melts in your mouth with every bite.
Big fan of The Melt. There is something about free pickles and a nice greasy burger on a day where I truly need it. This location can be pretty hectic around lunch, sometimes it is just too heavy after I eat it haha. One thing I always found great about SF Melt locations downtown is the people who work there are always so warm and friendly. Overall if you are around and looking for quick burger, The Melt would be a great place to start.
