Great down home comfort food with a NOLA vibe. Super friendly staff. Wear your stretchy pants and be prepared to Uber those drinks creep up on you. Great for brunch or dinner.
Was in the neighborhood and had to try this place since it was a block away from where I was and I love fried chicken.The staff super friendly and warned us what time kitchen closed but we had about half an hour left.We got the fried okra which was perfect.I got the 4 piece fried chicken with garlic mash potatoes and collard greens.It was all amazing.Also got a side of biscuits very yummy too.My lady got the shrimp and grits she loved it I tried it too and was bomb.Also portion sizes are great probably will have leftovers hahaWill be back if I'm ever in the area!
They confirm online orders and then cancel them 45 minutes later without communication. And then lie to the customers and blame Doordash. We were very excited to try this place while stuck at home because of covid. Not interested in dishonest places, they will not get a second chance. I know it's a busy weekend, don't accept orders you can't fulfill, and then lie.
Loved this spot, low key funk vibes with interesting cocktails (we loved the artichoke old fashioned) and southern comfort food (dr pepper short ribs and fried okra were hits)
As a southern transplant in the Bay Area, I am a harsh critic on southern style food. The food was solid but nothing to blow our party of 3 away. It was an alright brunch spot, with a cute atmosphere and good service! The food was just okay but definitely worth a visit for a nice morning.
I've heard great things of this place and finally made it in for brunch. It did not disappoint. The staff was efficient and friendly and the food was excellent!!! I brought some friends visiting and we were all very satisfied. I had the stoner sandwich and, my God, I could not imagine loving it even more if I were stoned, maybe next time haha. Friend git the chicken and waffles and was not disappointed. I will more deff be back.

Came here for brunch on the weekend. The host was super nice and attentive!I had fried chicken and waffles. The chicken seemed to lack flavor. It was crispy but definitely could use some seasoning. The waffles though was good and dense. The chicken is bone in, unless you get the breast, which I thought was the best part.. very juicy.The biscuit was good, a little sweet.I didn’t like the coffee, but I mean it’s just the regular brew so I really don’t hold them to this.The drinks were good though! The alcoholic drinks are a must try. I definitely come back for the drinks and the waffle.
Just stopped in for a quick drink but enjoyed the vibe a lot. Cool lighting and decor. Service was great. I tried the regular margarita and it was yummy although a little sweet. Excited to come back to try the food at some point!I sat at the bar but there was also a parklet with heaters that looked super cute!
