Surprisingly good food for a dive bar.
I wasn’t gonna leave this as a review, I had already commented under other reviews of other people who have been harassed by their staff- but someone pointed out to me if you’re my friend you can see my reviews under my profile- and I want to make sure anyone I know who happens to see my reviews- knows not to go here. I’ve been harassed by a female staff member- it was off site and off the clock- it was not while she was working but she involved other bartenders and industry

As stated in the previous reviews, my friend and I are victims of harassment by an employee from this establishment.

The good is great and the service is excellent.
Unique “underground” bar/restaurant in SoMa. During lunch hours they offer the amazing dishes you can get from the “hole in the wall” restaurant next door, Box Kitchen. From those, I recommend the “Mac & Cheese Egg Rolls” – which consists of a fried roll stuffed with Mac and Cheese – and the amazing Box Burger. A friend of mine said he discovered Box Kitchen when searching for the best burgers in SF – which is definitely true: that’s one of the best burgers I’ve tasted in SF.

Enjoyed the beyond burger with buffalo cauliflower bites. I was disappointed that a $14-15 burger did not come with fries. Customer service is beyond awesome. Not a bar person, but the vibe is cool and it’s very diverse. Good luck with finding parking within close proximity. The food venue is adjacent to the bar.
Just visited yesterday the place...the stars is for the food not for the bar. They have a unique set up where you buy the food from a separate door at the street level and then you enter the bar with it so you have some food while at the bar. The guy who takes the orders is super friendly. I had a box burger and it looked amazing. The fried were great so why two stars? It was about the burger...it was completely red inside when I was eating it. It was cooked rare . In a normal set up ..it ould have been ok but it meant leaving the bar going to the other door , complain and etc... Not ideal. I was disappointed with the burger and I think part of the issue is he never asked us how I want it. Both burgers ..buddy and I went to wqste. Although I did ate half of it. The rest of the night had this funny feeling of having. Eaten raw meat. TIP: If you come...ask how you want your meat !!! The bar and restaurant is located in a small street...the bar seems fine and super friendly. Everybody gets carded so bring your ID.
