Taylor is my favorite place to each breakfast in San Francisco, USA ??.The place was very small and cozy and atmosphere was amazing it made me feel like home ?. The service was excellent and and staff are sweet and friendly. ???The food was excellent with fresh ingredients ?. We went twice and every dish ? was more yummy than the other. We ordered very berry salad ?, Spiffy Sandwich ?, Greek Omelette ?: the taste is earthy and vegetable aroma. The taste is so good.. try it with maple syrup. The maple syrup complements the feta ? ?Trust me, You won’t regret it! It’s the best in San Francisco ???
Nice little coffee shop that does a good selection of food. Everything was tasty and seasoned well. I ordered breakfast tea and the water wasn’t particularly hot. I also ordered the chicken sausages as a side and they were a little grizzly in places. Overall though, it was a good place to eat and I would go back.
You would walk right by this place and never suspect they have one of the finest and most wholesome brunch spots in town. Don’t be thrown off by the location or lack of “insagrammable” decor, this place has a solid breakfast if that’s what you’re looking for. Right across from the historic Glide Memorial Church, this place is everything you’re looking for with Sunday brunch without the lines or fanfare. We got the chorizo scramble which packs a punch with a side salad and a diverse platter of fresh fruit. We’ll be back!
Extremely tasty breakfast in a nice environment. We will definitely be back next time we are in town. Restroom needs a makeover.
Ate here because of the rating......to say the least it was a bit overrated. Should have read the recent reviews, they more accurately reflect this restaurant. Coffee was luke-warm and average tasting. Saw the waitress pour water into an orange juice before serving it to another customer. Hot chocolate drink was a package mix stirred in hot water. Food was OK, but not worth the price. Maybe the Tripadvisor analytics are mixed up on this one.
Bug infested coffee shop! I was sitting down waiting to be served. Out of nowhere, I seen something crawling on the wall. I thought it was a cockroach. I jumped out of my seat and yelled. The server came up and killed it like she’d killed bugs plenty of times. It was some other creepy-crawly. As we were leaving, my daughter saw another creepy-crawly on the window! For the food, it was okay. I got the millionaire bacon… It wasn’t worth my money. It was more like maple, chewy, very greasy pig meat. I was expecting it to be crispy. The French toast was okay. The pancakes and the real bacon my daughter had was so much better than what I ordered. The restaurant itself was so tiny that everyone had to stand against the wall for people to pass. Not recommended!
I have no idea why this has the ratings it does. Food, average. Coffee terrible. My $5 hot chocolate was a Swiss Miss stirred into hot water with a plop of canned whip cream to cover up the fact that it wasn’t real hot chocolate. Sitting at the first table meant I could see into the kitchen area. Saw the waitress open fridge, grab one of several pre-pored orange juice glasses. All were 3/4 full. She pulled one out, filled the last 1/4 with tap water, stirred quickly, and served it to the table next to ours. Just abysmal. Cafe is located in such a sketchy area that I’d have turned back if my husband hadn’t have been there. Dirty, garbage everywhere, scary people loitering around. Now Taylor Street itself is not all bad. We were on Taylor up in the Nob Hill area. Totally safe and clean… but this area is down in the tenderloin area. Even the hostess at our place warned us to stay away (she scribbled out that area with her pen… on a map ?) This city’s restaurants automatically attach a “employee benefit “ charge onto your bill so if you were inclined to tip the waiter, that’s just MORE money. What a mess.
Great breakfast find about four blocks from Union Square and the St. Francis hotel. I had the bacon benedict that included the Millionaire Bacon. It was outstanding!! I also had the fruit that was excellent but the bacon is really outstanding! It’s pricey but then I expect it in San Francisco. If you want a cheap breakfast go to McDonalds. If you want a great little spot come here!
Love the space! It's small (only like 10 tables) but they seem to turn the tables pretty quickly.I recommend the Millionaire's bacon and Hollandaise Hash. Be prepared for the habanero onions though. ?️?️?️
There is usually no wait at this place even though it is small. Best breakfast I have had in years! Ask for extra bacon!
