Late Anthony Bourdain said “Drink heavily with locals whenever possible.” This is the place to do it. It’s a friendly neighborhood bar in a quiet location away from the tourist traps.
Chill AF. Friendly, great vibe, good drinks. What more could you want?
Lovely place offering nice drinks. Amy is amazing. I’d definitely go again and highly recommend it if you are around.
This place has a pleasant atmosphere where you can meet local people, have a few drinks and play ball pool.I loved the cute napkin!!
Friendly service. Cool ambience. Great price.
Small local bar fun for a people hangout and conversation. The drinks are very typical, the ambience is light and peaceful, lighting a tad on the dark side but not in a way to detract from the experience. But a comfortable place to chill out with friends with drinks and good service.
Great ? good service. Nice local place reasonable prices. Pleasant
Linda made it a 10/10. She was the highlight of our experience in the bay area. It was a nice and genuine atmosphere and would go out of our way to come back to see her and to this bar
Amy B. is such a great bartender - great attitude, personable, and makes a great cocktail. The jazz was lovely and not so loud you couldn't have a conversation, but rather provided the perfect backdrop for a lovely evening. Great local watering hole with good prices. Definitely stop in for a drink.
An island of soul in a sea of less, Sweetie's is a throwback to the SF I discovered and fell in love with back in the early aughts. Hidden in a quiet part of eastern Francisco St., Sweetie's is home to a collection of some of the best bar art, food, and convivalness in the city. If you're looking for a local haunt where you can talk with friends in a laid-back non-divey but still divey (in the best of ways and not in the worst) place, with some good food to boot, Sweetie's is your place.
