best sandwich ever. and for 30+ years it hasn’t changed at all. The same guy is behind the counter. small place, cozy with a relatively short line given how good it is.
This is a really good sub. I had the super atomic and it was great - filling and flavorful. I’m not sure what’s lacking, but this one just wasn’t the best sub I’ve had in San Francisco. I had super high hopes. The toppings felt close to being too light and the bread to toppings ratio was maybe a little off. Also, I ordered for pickup and the sandwich was on a white bread which just isn’t as good as Dutch crunch. I’d come back here, but partially to see if I just was being too harsh.

Literally my favorite sandwich spot in all of the Bay Area. Grew up eating here and now drive from San Jose just to get my sandwich fix. This spot is on west portal right by the underground entrance to muni. Let's level set - it's a tiny place where you pick up food from, don't expect a sit down place. However, their sandwiches are magical.If you can, order ahead since the wait can be long (they used Grubhub and DoorDash). But believe me when I say it is WORTH THE WAIT EVERY TIME! They have a bunch of sub options and even pizza subs. It honestly doesn't matter what you order, it's going to be delicious. Their secret is in the perfectly toasted bread, the perfect sauce combo, and all the condiments. They move fast, so be ready to rattle off your order! Nice people and great sandwiches- what more do you need?
Best sandwiches ever! Fresh bread, fresh products. A little bit pricey but well worth it. You will not be disappointed.
Great sandwiches. Quality pastrami. Fresh veggies to go with it. Wonderful crunchy bun. A mini is a full meal. Watching the staff work is half the experience. Highly recommended unless you're in a big hurry. This place fills a lot of orders in a short time, but it certainly isn't instant.
Their hot pastrami sandwich is phenomenal! No wonder rated BEST by all the reviewers. Finally found our default sandwich place to go!

JUST GO TO SUBWAYI ordered a simple turkey sandwich from here with no sauce when I got home I had 3 sauces on my sandwich. My sandwich was soaked and kept falling apart in my hand due to the soupy wetness of the sandwich. Needless to say I paid $14 for this terrible soupy sandwich so you didn’t have too.I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
