Very pricey for a brunch, once the 23% fees are added on top, and you get dinged for every coffee and sparkling water. Service was oddly hovering, as if they had too may employees, many of them new and training. The food was decent - esp the artichoke soup and spare ribs.
Our favorite weekend brunch in The City! Beautiful setting, stellar waitstaff, great wine & spritzer selections and deliciously prepared food.

Pleasantly surprised in a relatively residential neighborhood on Sacramento St. just beyond Divisidero to find such a first class restaurant! Ambience was great whether seated inside or outside in parklet. Superb service by everyone one on the wait staff. Very, very good food plus they get extra points for providing my vegan date very good vegan options. Food was not only delicious but the presentation was both artful and had a playful quality. For example the vegan risotto looked like a small hamlet sitting there quietly on the plate, ready to be disturbed and enjoyed by a guest. Trust me, you have to be there to feel the elegant whimsical nature of presentation of each plate of food. Inside Spruce feels a lot like 1930-40's atmosphere, and the Friday night I was there, outside was full and inside was really jumping'. I'd return in a heartbeat! Thank you, Spruce!
This is a pre pandemic elegant dining experience . Great well trained team . One is welcomed into a beautiful upscale environment; the menu is enticing ! The food was not only delicious but beautiful! All in all a perfect experience !
Amazing food and the staff was just as amazing.
Food was excellent, as was the service. I was a little annoyed with the hostess because I arrived early and was asked to sit inside, rather than at the empty outside table I had reserved.
Incredible! Took my mom here and we had an unforgettable, wonderful evening.
Entree undercooked and sent back but 30 minutes elapsed with no service the rest us ate our dinner uncomfortably.
