Not a great experience. Soma is listed in Italian restaurant and has nothing to do with Italian cuisine. In fact we donât know if it is Italian, Arabic, American or any other cuisine. When we arrived they did not even know that we reserved trough Open Table.
Promptly seated with our reservation. Servers were just the right level of attentive - there when you needed them, but did not hover. Food was delicious!
I took a group of 16 for lunch and the service was outstanding. Everyone loved their food; definitely coming back!

This restaurant was outstanding! We had a group of 11 people and the wait staff was friendly, attentive, and delightful. I had the "Potato Gnocchi" and it was INCREDIBLE. By far the most delicious dish I had in San Francisco. We went here for a group dinner (we were in SF for business). I'm so glad we chose this place. We would definitely go back!
We tried multiple dishes and each one was excellent. Very simple menu, and they delivered on what they offered. They had pizza for the teen, pasta dishes and bruschetta for the parents, and we enjoyed it all. If you want quality Italian fare, you can't lose with Soma.
Exceptional Staff, very helpful and pleasant. Food was fresh and tasty!
If you have any food allergies, you will have to look out for yourself. I was served a rice pilaf that had orzo in it when I asked for gluten-free food. The food was OK. Our server was apologetic about trying to poison me but really didn’t understand the whole gluten thing.
Great neighborhood gem. Fantastic food.
