Exquisite service, food and ambiance Grazie! Barbara

Chose to eat here because it was a “bib gourmand” on the Michelin guide. Most places I’ve eaten at that were recognized this way were usually far worth the value and experience. This was not. This place feels like what fine dining meant in 2001, from the atmosphere to the food. -The wine list did nothing to carry the burden of the food being decent at best. Nothing stood out and was more than usually expensive. -the appetizers were unfortunately mediocre. The watermelon burrata was described as having “chili flakes, salt and basil”. It was literally a 2 inch long by quarter inch sliver of watermelon, a dollop of mozzarella, almost no chili flakes and perhaps the tiniest micro leaf of basil I’ve ever seen. The tiny bite I had that included the basil was alright (my spouse unfortunately had no basil to enjoy), the rest of it without the only piece of flavor in the dish (the basil) was just sad and pointless. Then we got the seared scallops. They were cooked well, not great. The pea purée had balanced flavor, but the tomato jam being present made zero impact on the dish. Far too mild for the other flavors present. Main dishes: -rigatoni was good, but again not great. The bacon was able to stand out, and the red sauce was balanced well, but the overall dish fell flat. -braised duck was good, but followed the trend of not being great. If I closed my eyes and was told it was just slow cooked beef, I would have agreed. -the pork chop was the saddest part unfortunately. It was described as having a peach sauce with brussel sprouts and bacon….and it was literally that. But sad. Pork chop was cooked pretty well, on the juicier side. Everything else was basic and bland. Peach was almost absent in flavor. Overall, for dishes to be hovering around $30 or higher, I expected either 1) more quantity or 2) more quality, but got neither. Place was packed, and we both left trying to figure out why.

We went here for a special occasion lunch. Delicious food and superior service. The setting is private and nestled in the trees. Feels like your own private hideaway. My only very minor complaint is that the group seated behind us brought their little dog which ran under our table and barked a bit through lunch. Just a slight annoyance, but not enough to affect our rating of the restaurant.

Fantastic food and great service. I think their lunch menu is a little pricey.

A gem . So grateful for the service and quality

Our server ignored us and was obviously quite busy. We know that restaurants are having a hard time, but we didn’t get any acknowledgement until we asked a busboy to get him after 20 mins. He was very short and curt with us, and also brought us the wrong salad after we ordered. We even apologized for being pains as women too often do, he sort of grunted. By the end our busboy took pity on us and became our server. We wanted to give a tip to just the busboy. Our server did come and ask us how our food was at one point as he realized he was being rude. It’s enough of a bad experience where we won’t ever come again. I have friends in the industry so I do try to be understanding…but we were never rude or demanding, and he just decided to be super rude to us. Don’t know if it’s because we were two women at a two top and there were larger parties…but the worst experience I’ve ever had. Food was good.

Wonderful dishes. Friendly service. Charming decor

Favorite place in the city! Hidden gem and great food! Magical ambiance.

This was my third visit to to this outstanding eatery. The patio is the place to dine. Exceptional were the veal chop, fried olives, bead pudding and panna cotta. They have Pliny the Elder beer and a delicious red wine available by the glass, Urbano Rosso. They aim to please. The sommelier is a wealth of knowledge and very friendly. You must go there!

A definite go to place for us in the city. The food and wine are magnificent but the service is just top notch! We have been there twice in the last 6 weeks and Matt has made both of these experiences amazing! So attentive and warm.. he is one of the main reasons we keep going back!
