Sichuan food may not be for everyone, but this is definitely the real deal. If you like sour, spicy bold Chinese flavors, give this restaurant a try. The sour vegetable fish soup 酸菜鱼 is perfect with huge chunks of fresh fish.

I really wanted to love this restaurant and I have been here every week for the past month. However, my partner and I had a bad stomach after dining here today. It lasted for a few hours and we were in discomfort and pain. We ordered the pig ear and the pig blood in spicy oil. The food wasn't fresh and looked too oily and stale. I feel betrayed and angry as a loyal customer.

Diners come from all around to eat at Sichuan Home because it is one of the restaurants on Geary Boulevard that shines the brightest. Its dining space is immaculate and has varnished wood paneling and mirrors, plexiglass-topped tables for easy cleanup of chili oil spills, and menus that display enticing photographs of each dish. The succulent lamb chops with a crispy cumin coating and the pot of the chef's unique fish stew, which is prepared at the table and delivered seething with flavor, are just two examples of the broad variety of dishes that can be found in the Sichuan cuisine. A silky mango pudding that is topped with grapefruit sorbet and fresh pineapple is a tropical dish that is a joy to have for dessert.

This is probably the best Chinese restaurant I've been to in San Francisco. We ordered the Shanghai dumplings, the fish soup, the pan fried chicken, and the spicy cabbage. The food was spicy, but it really wasn't overpowering. Everything is seasoned well and is just high quality in general. The prices are pretty reasonable too, considering how good the food is. I will definitely be back here, and I look forward to ordering new dishes next time (maybe the duck with a side of green beans!)

I can't say enough how much we enjoyed this restaurant. Love Asisn food but most are just fast food versions of Chinese food. Not this place. Get the fish stew, crazy good. The lunch specials have a smaller menu, but full of flavor and good size portions. Been there several times now, always consistent.

I do not recommend, they were super rude when we asked for restroom when we were planning on dining in, they said only for customer. We said yes we are dining in and gave us rude faces, kept staring at us if we were not going to order when my family was using the restroom and waiting for them to order. When we were ordering they are rushing us and did not let us finish ordering. They had really bad attitudes when we asked for more water and mumbled things when we did . And when they gave us the bill I was still eating and came back less then 5 minutes to get payment when I was still eating . Once my husband paid which the bill was $90 for only two orders of noodles, beef dumplings, fried dumplings (4) , sesame chicken , and sweet and sour , and water, they came up to us telling why no tip, after all the rudeness and rushing , we did not tip because bad service and food was not what we expected, dumplings smelled a little funky and it felt like we bothered them a lot . Once we got out lady that asked for tip came outside to look at us and say something once we were in the car .

I ordered the Kung Pow Chicken, Beef and Broccoli, and the String Beans with minced pork. Everything was delicious. Big portions for the mains and the price was fair. I highly recommend.

Amazing food and lovely service , will come back for sure!

Absolutely disgusting! The food was bland, it looked so good but when I tasted it. YUCK. I’ve never had such crappier Chinese food in my life. And it was quite expensive so I expected more taste wise. The meat is the cheapest meat you can find at like an El Supers and they think we won’t notice the low quality meat by saturating it with onions. The rice was so soft, it tasted undercooked. I’m very dissatisfied and will not ever come here again! And the food was over $20 just for this beef and rice.

Excellent delicious dinner family style! There were 8 of us and everyone was happy and full. Nice friendly helpful staff. Mango drink juice was extra fantastic!
