Took some ice cream to try.. Oh God, this is incredibly delicious. Natural! Excellent! Very delicious! And a small portion is not enough. Take note ?
The ice cream is very good & creamy! They also have “smidge” sized cones.
Next to Golden Gate Park, and a stone’s throw from the Pacific, you’ll find Hometown Creamery. It was apparently the first shop in SF to create their own in-store small-batch flavors of ice cream. At least that's what they proclaim on their wall! I tried the peanut butter ice cream topped with fudge. It was quite tasty. I would love to try the other flavors!
The ice cream is just fresh. Small batch, made in house. Mint chip tastes super fresh. They have pints of most flavors in the fridge to bring home.
Got the smidge size fresh mint icecream. Note - it was so good that I forgot to take a photo so the smidge is a bit bigger than shown.This doesn't taste like your mint chip icecream from the grocer. It literally tastes like fresh mint (think mint mojito!). It was so rich and delicious.Thought the waffle cone was a bit expensive though. The smidge sized waffle cone piece was smaller than the single sized waffle cone piece but both were $1.
Fantastic ice cream. Small number of (but flavorful and unique!) selections, and accommodating of food allergies. My partner said the vegan chocolate sorbet was the creamiest sorbet he has ever had! We will be back.
Ice cream is OK, maybe it's good but it didn't taste much like the advertised flavor. I probably should have sampled it first but it was a hot summer day and busy and only one poor person working the entire shop. He did a stellar job but I felt bad and didn't want to make him work harder. Odd operation but they are in a busy spot so probably don't care much about doing things 'legit' so likely not coming back with so many other good choices around. YMMMV
The vanilla flavor did not disappoint. It's my go-to and I liked it very much. Could have been a bit more creamy, but on a hot day it was just right.

An Inner Sunset sweets favorite! You'll see their bus all over town (so if you do, stop by!) but their creamery is DELICIOUS. Favorite part: You can get ice cream flights if you can't decide on the vast and unique flavors they have each day!
