Solid Chinese takeout place that happens to be one of the oldest restaurants in all of California. Ordered house chow mein and mapo tofu with pork after the lunch rush on a weekday, there was no wait and food promptly came out within 5 minutes. Flavor hits all the right spots, no fancy gimmicks just a good ol' takeout that you can binge on. Oh and did I mention HUGE portions? Had to separate the food into three meals. Recommended, looking forward to trying other items soon.

No indoor dining, but the park across the street is a place to eat. The food was good for a very decent price.

I was craving for Singapore chicken noodles. Based on the good reviews of Singapore noodles. I ordered Singapore noodles with chicken instead of beef. Ordered the Chow Mai Fun Singapore style noodles. But it was very disappointing… not even close to Singapore stir fry noodles. Spices were not mixed well. Here and there in the noodles spices chunks.. it wasn’t mixed well with the noodles. And there were only 4-5 shrimps and very few chicken pieces. It wasn’t that tasty at all. I don’t know how people said noodles were so so good here. With the tax $10.95 and not worth of my time, taking Uber and going to China town just for Singapore noodles. Now there’s only take out.. no dining. I almost trashed the 85% of the noodles.

Solid choice for inexpensive and tasty chinese staples. The duck with noodles came with a tasty sauce. The beef wonton soup was good… it contained beef wonton, beef tendon, a little brisket, and noodles. Most meals around just $9.50. It’s very nice to get to go and eat in Portsmouth Square next door. The girl at the register was patient and friendly.

Couldn't be more pleased. The noodles were ahhhhmazing. Takeout only and a smallish place, but don't let that deter you! We took across the street to the park and watched lion dance me practice, along with lots of locals playing cards. I can't stress enough that the food was so good and worth it! The price was reasonable too!

Get the bbq pork rice noodle rolls they will not disappoint

This is usually a reliable place for a quick bite. Everything is takeout only now because of Covid. I ordered two types of chow mein for takeout and they burned the noodles on both orders. The bottom of my meal looked like a toasted block of top ramen. I would recommend other places for now and check back after they open for done in again.

Website said dining in...wrong ! Only takeout available for now. We waited for about 15 minutes for our wonton mein, delicious but was a LONG WALK from our Columbus Street hotel!

My dad got the rice porridge from here - it was very average and had almost no flavor. It needed salt for starters. Not even the shreds of meat could help it. Not really sure why this place is famous. However, food was really quick!

Tasty food. Fast and friendly service
