Got two scoops: freckled mint and vanilla. Simple yet super creamy and smooth. Service was fast and the vibe was warm and inviting. The fresh waffle smell inside made me not want to leave. Highly recommend.

I first knew about them from their store in Portland, Oregon with a line outside of the store in just about freezing temperature. Here in San Francisco, it was the same. There was a line outside of the door for at least three hours, I was there that long just talking with a friend on the bar stools.Great taste from the two flavors I tried at this location. I'm all about tradition and foundation right now so I went with their sea salt and caramel house special. Rich, creamy, delicious. My friend had the summer picnic special, the Brie and fig, that was also great to sample.I'm glad I don't live near these guys, I would be broke from such great tasting ice cream. Good service as well.
Amazingly delicious ice cream. Line ups were long but well worth the wait. You can try as many samples as you want. Little gift shop as well. Unique flavours. I personally loved the strawberry with honey balsamic and black pepper. Good size portions. Waffle cones delicious.
Salt & Straw never disappoints - we got a split scoop of the Chocolate Gooey Brownie and the Freckled Mint Chocolate Chip (which was vegan). Both flavours were insanely rich and so well made. Definitely recommend getting a scoop from here.

Not your usual ice cream shop. Unique flavors , blue cheese and pear / honey lavender and some cool seasonal flavors. Single scoops are big- two scoops wise in any other ice cream shop ! Love it ! Super friendly staff !!
Love this spot in Hayes valley. Staff is very friendly, and store is clean and pathways are efficient.Meta cool: the new spoon drop off instead of in a bowl or box.Enjoy while strolling around the area or take your ice cream delight to the park across the street and people watch, especially people watch those with glistening muscles doing outdoor workouts at the outdoor gym.Make them jealous as you enjoy sugar and make your heart flutter.
Ice cream from this place can cure any heartache. Just the smell of fresh waffle cones freshly made in this place can do that too, really. I highly recommend their Cold Brew Coffee Cashew Praline with fresh semi-hot waffle cone in a warm day. They also offer many other creative flavors such as olive oil ice cream.Their toppings (hot fudge in particular) was so great too but it was discontinued during covid and hasn’t been back yet.
