Hands down the best ice cream I have ever had in San Francisco! I ordered the baked brie andnfig cheesecake ice cream along with gooey chocolate brownie and they were both extremely delicious with big chunks of cake. I can't wait to return and try more flavors!
Don't be afraid to try the unique sounding flavors!! This place has so many interesting combinations of flavors like (figs with blue cheese) aside from classics like vanilla and chocolate. BUT trust me!! Its no where near bad! Definitely recommend this spot for icream!
Flight was super good, comes four flavors of your choice with (warm omg) waffle pieces but keep in mind that it’s kinda a lot of food for two people lol. We mostly finished it cause it’s a bit pricey at 14 dollars but would prob recommend for three or four ppl. Line gets a lil long but moves fast, they have nice people taking orders as you wait in line so you don’t have to wait too long. Overall was a good experience:)
The staff were so nice, and accommodating. They helped us out and the portions are huge which is always a plus, especially when the ice cream is very well priced. I paid about what, $5 for almost what felt like a tub of ice cream, which, most importantly, was delicious! I would like to go here every time I visit San Francisco.
Honey Lavender and Gooey Brownie. Split single is stop a good portion. The waffle cones are very fresh, light and crispy. Service was friendly and efficient
Cold brew and Cocoa Puffs seasonal flavor was interesting. A bit too much chocolate for my liking. Great coffee flavor though.
The ice cream is very good, if not a little overpriced. The big draw in my opinion is that they have a bunch of flavors that cannot be found anywhere else. I especially liked the cinnamon snickerdoodle. Service was great and the location was very clean. it is also an easy walk to plenty of shops and restaurants, so this makes for a great way to end your day.
I don’t even like Ice Cream and gave it 5 stars — that’s how good this place is. Excellent customer service, no judgment about trying flavors, and loved the creativity of the unique selections.Like other have noted, highly recommend the Lavender & Honey flavor
Cornflake Cookies with Marionberry Jam ($5.75) and Waffle Cone ($1.50)Out of all the parlous in America, Salt & Straw has the best flavours for sure! Their flavours are unique yet not gimmicky, sweet yet often savoury and are also handmade with quality as well! The Cornflake Cookies with Marionberry Jam is one of the monthly special flavours. The ice cream consists of a creamy and malty vanilla based ice cream mixed with salt, cornflake cookies chunks and specks and dollops of Marionberry jam. The jam and vanilla gives it a slight sweetness whilst the salt makes it savoury enough to make you keep wanting more. The waffle cone is thick, crunchy and is savoury enough to compliment the ice cream. The people there are really nice and they do allow you to try out flavours as well so don’t be afraid to test out what you like! Having tried a couple of them during then, I can assure you that they’re all good.P.S: their portions are huge, you might want to get a kids scoop($4.35) instead if you’re not a big eater.
If you're looking to try something new or have some unique flavor pairings this is a must try spot with flavors like pear and blue cheese, strawberry and balsamic, lavender honey, and olive oil. There are sorbets for those who prefer something that's not ice cream. There are also more tame flavors of ice cream like salted caramel.Get it in a cup, waffle cone, or cake cone on the counter or pick up a pint to skip the lines.
