I can't believe I just pay $51for this box. I can understand this all situation but $51 for less than few pieces of sushi. Not worthy. If tiny sushi is how you roll, then this is the place. Tiny sushi
Great food & sushi! ? ?My favorite sushi restaurant in SF.All the staffs are very nice and friendly. The owner is a great host! We always have an amazing time! ?
Have been ordering for a few years here, since well before the pandemic. Sad to get our Nigiri sushi tonight. Instead of the nicely sized about half inch thickness of fish on the rice, ours was about 1/8th inch thick for a bit more money. Why do places do this? We know that prices of ingredients go up. Just because the price stays close doesn’t mean that we will be happy. This is just sad. Have not ordered for a while cause you don’t deliver from the restaurant anymore but the extra charge for delivery and the drop in quality make this no longer worth it in any way. Sad cause it used to be really good.
Nice happy hour special! $5 rolls and $5 beer. Friendly servers, good music playing. Will definitely come back.
This place seems like a fun place to have dinner with friends but if you're looking for quality and delicious sushi, this place is not it. The fish/seafood isn't fresh and the apps we ordered were disappointing in flavor and quality. If you're into rolls drenched in sauces or food you can just munch on while drinking or karaoking then this might be the place for you! Overall, I won't be coming back.AMBIENCEThis place is going for that fun and hip vibe where you can get the best Japanese food while having lots of fun. P.S. You're not going to get the best Japanese food here. However, I can see how it would be fun though - have a wide food selection to choose from while karaoking or sit at a tatami dining table and enjoy your food swaying to cool music. It's also pretty dark and the overall atmosphere reminded me of being at a club.SERVICEThey have paper menus where you just check off what you want and then they'll put the order in. Happy Hour is from 4-6pm every day so there will be a HH menu, a food menu, and a drink menu. Multiple people were serving us and it was too much service haha. Someone would be hovering nearby and anytime we emptied a plate they would come swooping in and reach over to clear it - it was a bit much. And then as we waited for more stuff someone else would ask if we were waiting for something else. Too much service = disruptive meal time. When the table next to us cleared one of the workers came over to clean it and when they sprayed the table it the mist and smell flew over to our table - got on us and our food. Not cool.FOODI think this place does better with entertainment (karaoke!) and not food.- Nigiri: This is the wrong place to be eating raw fish because it is not fresh. Some pieces were so fishy and definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. All cuts of the Blue Fin Tuna here was also disappointing...how can any kind of toro be that disappointing? ?- Spicy Tuna Taco: Very small. The wonton shell barely had any spicy tuna (which was more sweet than spicy).- Dynamite Mussels: Some of the mussels were fishy - so gross. Wish these came out hot too because they were just warm.- Takoyaki: Overdone on the outside. I do love when the outside is crispy but not if it tastes slightly burnt. There was barely any octopus inside too.
Good food on Clement St . Nice sake selection and a variety of different snacks in a very modern surrounding. The oysters were clean and fresh. The hamchi kama was a bit overdone for its size. The tacos could’ve had a bit more tuna per the size of the wonton or maybe just fried in a different shape. Flavor was good though. The fried calamari and octopus wasn’t bad. A highlight was having it with Tabasco, which makes sense but saying it’s a highlight tells you a lot. Again the interior of the space is very modern, it has a great ambiance. I’m a big sake fan and they do have fantastic selection.Cheers ?
Papers please! Mandatory vaccination required to give this business your money. If showing your health records in order to eat is your thing then this is the place for you.If not, there's a half a dozen other places that still take great precautions without requiring you to show personal health records.
A MUST Stop when in San Francisco. One of the best sushi places in California. This unassuming bistro delivers some of the freshest and tastiest sushi this side of earth. They are as good or on par with some of the best in Japan. Look for the owner Ray and let him take on on a fantastic sushi voyage!Thank you!
The fish seemed low quality and didn't look very appetizing. The soy sauce was kind of sweet which made everything taste strange. Not a very good sushi experience.
Nice cozy place, long menu to choose from. The food was good, the ell was deliciously cooked. Presentation of dishes is very good. According to me the prices are very high for what you get. Very friendly staff.
