Unfortunately this place didn’t survive pandemic. They closed their doors in June 2022.It was the best place for sushi. Such a tragedy :((
Very fresh, great staff, and interesting dishes. One of my favorite stops in San Francisco. I don’t usually look for affordable with sushi but this establishment never disappoints.
Hands Down the best sushi place left in the city. I have lived in SF my whole life and this is the last standing Gem. Great fresh fish, amazing customer service, the prices are fair and so are the portions. I would give it 10 stars if I could. If you are craving sushi and you aren’t trying to spend $20 in one roll. This is your place!Edit:Since covid things have changed a bit; the boats are no longer available but the highlight here is that the menu (price based on the color of your plate) is still the same! :)Dine-In & to go orders available.Comes support your local businesses that legitimately deserve your money.
Absolutely the most disgustingly rude service I've ever experienced. Refused to seat a disabled woman with her service dog. When told that was illegal, she said, "I don't care". Had a screaming match with customers in front of the entire restaurant. I've never seen anything like it. I'm so appalled. I would never ever go back, regardless of the food. Shameful discrimination!!
Was turned down and yelled at for having a service animal and refused service. That's against the American with disabilities act. I asked to speak with the owner/manager and the woman screamed for us to leave. Didn't ask for any information just immediately refused us the moment we stepped into the establishment. That is discrimination against people with disabilities flat out.
They discriminate against the disabled here. Absolutely disgusting behavior from the staff here.
I'm sorry to report that the boats are still not floating. I hope they come back soon.Overall the sushi here is surprisingly good and the sushi boat size portions are incredibly cheap. They have massive beers for $6 too which is nice. It definitely gets a little more expensive if you buy the specialty rolls, but can be done very cheaply if that's what you're going for.Even though the sushi is good, there's a smell in the restaurant that kind of smells like pee. A little off-putting at first, but I powered through and was glad I did. I'll just be getting takeout next time I get my sushi from here.
We love this place. The sushi is so fresh. We come here almost once a week.
Quality went way down. Like unacceptable down.Spicy tuna nigiri had hard fish like it was sitting out for hours.Tempura is not cleaned. The shrimp have that black poop trail inside. Maybe farm raised shrimp. The tempura batter is soggy like double fried.Restaurant is sticky all over. Like the plastic on sushi bar is sticky and dirty. The sushi boat river has murky gross water with the evaporation rings around the edges.Really a filthy experience.
Really good sushi
